Stain on bed #1
This is a wall heater in the bathroom, right above the commode. The dust is an inch thick.
Stain on bed #3
Lots of room, flooring great for pets
Stain on bed #4
Curly had underneath comforter
Remodel didn't include bathtub
This was a scary shower stall, with all sorts of plaster and sheetrock built up upon itself, I guess to stop a bad leak.
Painting over the outlets just gives such a dirty feeling to the room
Stain hair on sheet
Unknown brown ick at the base of the toilet
Let's just paint over the faceplates instead of replacing them
After 20 minutes the water was still there
After 20 minutes the water was still there.
Light switch for bathroom was on but the light didn't work

YIKES!!! Of all the LQs we have stayed at in the past 5 years, this one definitely had our YUCK meter pinging in the red! However, it was a last minute reservation and there was no refund option! The $68 and no dog fee should have been our clue to RUN the other way, but the man I spoke to assured me that the motel was being renovated and we would be getting one of the updated rooms. The entrance into the hotel is right off one of the crazy-busy roads associated with the Interstate. (If you haven't been to Texas, their off and on ramps are combined, so it's like you're in the middle of the Indianapolis 500! Vehicles are vying for positions and it's like you're in the pace car that forgot to exit!) Making sure we didn't get rear-ended while trying to find the correct driveway for the hotel was quite the challenge! Some major pucker factor was involved! So, be on your toes when you're trying to get there!Once we were safely under the check-in carport, I made my way into the lobby where I was greeted cheerfully and checked-in very quickly. We stayed there on September 29th and it appeared that the front portion of the motel was what was currently being remodeled. So, in order to get to our room on the backside of the motel, we had to go back out onto the crazy road and then turn into the back driveway. Luckily, there was a lull in the traffic and we were able to transition safely to the other side of the motel. We had our two pups with us, so the room we got had laminate flooring and definitely smelled remodeled and clean. The room was spacious and had everything we needed for the night. The A.C. was a little annoying but not deal breaking. There was a refrigerator, microwave and a big screen T.V. We had to adjust the mattress cover as it was ill fitting and had rolled up at the head of the bed. The linens were clean and smelled fresh. I liked that they had a pull down privacy shade instead of curtains.(No need to pull out clips to secure a curtain to maintain your privacy!)They fell short with their remodeling of the bathroom area! It was down right gross really! They took a lot of shortcuts that they shouldn't have. Who paints over light switches and outlets??? The grout and caulking was pathetic. They didn't bother cleaning before they painted over "stuff". There was some unknown "substance" at the base of the toilet that grossed me out! Judging by the appearance of the toilet and shower/tub area, the only thing updated in there was the flooring and the paint. Not a part of the room that made one feel comfortable!Even though they are a "pet friendly" motel, they have no real area for your pups to relieve themselves. The areas available for them were littered with garbage and there was a tiny patch of grass at the base of the stairs. I didn't feel it would be appropriate for my dogs to do their business right there! (But they did as there was no other safe location for them to do so!) Good thing we carry our own poo bags! Other guests weren't as polite. The guy in the room next to us started working on his truck's brakes right there in the parking stall in front of the room! He was banging, clanging and jacking the truck up so he could remove the tires to do a complete brake change right outside our window! We decided that we would not make an issue of it unless he was still making all that racket when we returned from dinner. Thank God he was finishing up when we returned!!We did have a very quiet night with no issues. Breakfast was the typical fare and nothing to brag about, but enough for us to fuel our tummies before continuing on our journey west. Check out was fast and easy. Morning employee was there...not really excited to be there, but there. We definitely got what we paid for! Wouldn't do it again unless we were really desperate.

Confirmation 88693EE017465 My wife and I checked into La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndom, El Paso West, 6/23/23 around 5 p.m.. We were very travel weary and desperate for showers and sleep. I am sorry to rant about the room, but the further we got into this the more complicated it gets. First of all we were told we had the last of three handicap rooms and I have bilateral leg prosthetics making things like packing, unpacking, showering and etc. very difficult. Changing rooms did not seem a viable option after investing in settling into the room and showering.I tried to reach Wyndham but the confirmation number given by the front desk and on my checkout sheet has not been accepted.First of all, the air conditioner did not work well and struggled to get the room below 80 after 2-1/2 hours. Eventually, in the middle of night the night the temperature finally reached below 78. Even this morning as I type this complaint from the room 114, the ac is running full-tilt to maintain 75.Secondly, the bed-frame for the full-size bed is absolutely broken on one side and the bed tilts and clacks about 3 inches from that side when entered, posing a resting challenge as sudden tilting while in bed poses a fall risk.Thirdly (and now because of the first two complaints), I will start to nit-pick), there is no trash can in the room.Fourth, there are hot tea bags in the lobby area but no hot water available (I drink hot tea in the mornings and do not like water heated from a coffee maker with coffee residual, as is available in the room).Fifth, the bathtub had a running drip the whole time. Fortunately, closing the bathroom door shut off the noise.Sixth, the pool was "closed until further notice".I won't mention number seven about the giant water-bug cockroach in the room I had to rescue my wife from... Finally, when I inquired about the advertised breakfast, I was told that it is not served until 7:30 a.m. at which time I will have El Paso in the rear-view mirror.I asked the morning desk manager for the corporate number and email repeatedly and he only gave to me the local motel phone number (that rang himself) and would only give out the local email (that goes to him).

This place is low quality. We checked into our rooms and notice our bed sheets had been used. There was a curly piece of hair underneath the comforter then I found a straight piece of hair on the flat sheet. The comforter had three different type of stains one that looked like Mc Donald's sweet and sour sauce the other looked like makeup and the last stain I couldn't identify but it was black and crusty. The refrigerator, microwave, bathroom and carpet looks like they were bought and installed in the mid 90' at best. The ONE washer and dryer was out side next to the ice maker for anyone including none paying customers to use. After driving seven hours this was not a great place to come too. I came there feeling tired and dirty and I left feeling dirty. I didn't even get a discount nor refund for the inconvenience of having a duty room and having to pack up my husbands and our two dogs belongings to switch room at 12AM in the morning.

Pros: Dogs Allowed, Quick Check-In, Friendly Staff, Complimentary Breakfast, New Smart TelevisionsCons: Dirty Rooms, Strong Odor, Appliances Need Repair, Tiny Breakfast Area, Thin Walls, Carpet is Stained & Filthy.I stopped here on my drive back to California solely because I know the La Quinta brand & appreciate the "no dog fee" policy. I feel deceived & let down. I paid $105 for a Saturday night which I felt was reasonable ... until I saw the quality of the room. La Quinta must've bought the property and TRIED to do a makeover - futile attempt.** It's a "motel" style so all the doors face the outside (freeway & parking lot noise). ** There were mystery stains on the carpet, walls and tub (if I would've had a black light, I probably wouldn't have slept in that bed!)** When I moved the trash can, there was some type of food behind the bin rotting. ** There were strands of hair on the shower wall from the previous guest not to mention the mold in the bathroom. ** The bathroom fan was so loud when you turned it on - it was reminiscent of an airport. Overall, I wish I would've read the recent reviews and stayed away from here. I have stayed in hotels/motels all over the world, including on medical mission trips in 3rd world countries - I have a huge amount of leniency with not needing to stay in 5 start hotels having 2,000 thread count, fancy breakfasts, etc. I don't need that. All I ask is for a clean room and it looks as if this is an ongoing problem at this particular motel, not an isolated incident. The reason for the 2 stars is because it is dog-friendly and the lady who checked us in was courteous, kind and efficient.

La Quinta is our usual stay when we travel because of their pet-free policy. This property is easily accessible as it is right off I-10. There is a good Mexican restaurant called Andele which you can walk to for take-out. We frequently travel cross country so we actually appreciate the doors facing the parking lot with no hallways because we bring a lot of gear in the back of our truck, so we can easily unload and reload. This is the least desirable La Quinta we've encountered. The rooms are shabby, and as other reviewers have mentioned, not very clean. There is no breakfast because of Covid, but we wouldn't eat here anyway. Prices right at $80 for the night. We will try one of the other La Quinta properties next time we pass through El Paso.

The tv never worked. There was sketchy people everywhere. The plumbing was horrible. It took forever for the water to go down in the tub. We had to ask for a plunger to unclog the toilet. By our second night "ALL" of the lights stopped working in our room. We asked for maintenance but it never came. It was just a horrible hotel.

The moment I walked into my room I felt dirty. The bath/shower fixtures having black mold was not comforting either. Generally I don't feel comfortable here, I'm in construction and get filthy at work and don't feel any cleaner after a shower here. I would not put my crew up here for a night if I didn't have to.

When I arrived at this La Quinta hotel in El Paso, Texas, I HAD TO CANCEL THE RESERVATION BECAUSE IT WAS IN A TERRIBLE CONDITION OF CLEANLINESS AND ORDER, IT WAS A DISASTER AND OF COURSE IT DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO THE IMAGE OF THE LA QUINTA HOTELS. For more than a year they have been saying that they are remodeling the hotel and it is not true; a total oversight that discredits the LA QUINTA HOTELES brand. Take note and avoid this terrible Franchisee who causes them harm in addition to the terrible and rude treatment of the reception staff, who is a Lady who even threatened to call the police for telling her that the hotel is in poor hygiene conditions

After my husband & I settled in for our 4-night stay, we started noticing how badly this place needed a total renovation. We got a handicap accessible room since I was recovering from a hip replacement and knew a walk-in/roll-in shower would be best for me.After a short while, I felt like Stella in "A Streetcar Named Desire" when I first walked into the bathroom: "What a dump!" (and I don't use that phrase lightly.)The room looked nice enough upon entry, but that carpet sure looked dark & black compared to the lovely hotel photos. I would have loved to see a brighter carpet in the room. It sure did not look or feel clean to me.As far as COVID precautions, I'm not sure the wall heater had ever been dusted and cleaned. Thick dust was over 100% of the area. The shower had a G--knows-what separation of sheetrock and plaster "bubble" in one corner of the ceiling. I didn't want to think too much about that one.It seemed as if all of the smokers on the premises decided to light up in front of our doorway. I am deathly allergic to cigarette smoke, and I had to leave the front door open for several hours to clear the air enough to breathe. To top things off, the "grab and go" breakfasts are inadequate, to say the least. Most hotels have that dilemma now.I humbly suggest that you enjoy and AirBnb in town, especially if you have a family with you. El Paso has a tone of them , of all different sizes.
