The lamp was falling off the wall
Bathroom tub, don't forget your sandals
Close up of exposed electronics
The front welcoming area .. yeah not a nice curb appeal
Bathroom fan safety concern
Corner in the bathroom
Our AC was sending out heat during the summer. The maintenance guy "fixed it" for a few hours... Till we had to turn it down even more.
No staff at the front desk often
Hole near the floor showing exposed electronics for the door lock.
Art deco lighting
Exterior door that was always unlocked. It was broken here too. Poor security!!!!
A cow costume was in the bathroom when we arrived. Super gross, the restroom had obviously not been well cleaned.
Marks and "digs" on the walls up and down the entire floor
The vending area!! Not sure what happened here, but that was there the next morning too!!
The carpet was missing...?
Broken toilet dispenser and magic mystery hole

If I could give negative stars, I would. This establishment needs to be condemned. The walls look like mold is growing and smell that makes one's stomach churn. This hotel if you can even call it that is not what it's portrayed to be. The bathroom had a previous guest toiletries along with their BM. I seriously regret giving them my money.

This hotel is past it's prime. Thankfully it was just a place to lay our heads for the night and we didn't have to spend any real time here.Pros: Right off I-10 and very convenient. We were hauling a trailer so there was ample parking where we could see the vehicle from our room. Cheap rate. Really, really nice front desk clerk that checked us in.Cons: Our room had a funny odor. The door to our room was really difficult to operate and closing it was downright difficult as the bolts kept sticking out. Water temperature in the shower kept fluctuating from hot to cool to hot to warm. Started the faucet in the tub and flipped it the shower but tons of water kept coming out of the faucet and filled the tub half full while I showered. Then when I was done, the water would NOT turn off!!!! Turns out the hot/cold controls were kind of mixed up and you had to turn them in opposite directions which made no sense in my head while I was standing there dripping wet and cold. Lack of cleanliness all around. Didn't even bother with the free breakfast - the only hot thing was waffles, everything else is cold or packaged. Overall: Was it worth the price? Barely. Like I said, our rate was cheap and we literally just crashed in bed, slept, took a shower and left.

Horrible experience. Going on month 3 with no refund. The room was trashed, not vacuumed and the sheets smelled like BO. The manager stated we would receive a refund for 2 days even though we payed for 4 and stayed for ZERO nights. The customers service line for la quinta can do nothing because the hotel is privately owned. They don't care that there's a terrible location running their name. Nearly ruined my familys Thanksgiving trip to TX

Very poor hotel, its unsanitary overall, the room we were given was filthy, mind you my son is allergic and with asthma, IT IS NOT AS ADVERTISED the entire place is falling apart. Ive been to other La Quinta Inn Suites and they all have been nicer and cleaner. The staff could only do so much to help out, but the manager Blanca did not want to talk to me very unprofessional. While sitting in the lobby on the phone with a rep to better help me i spotted a roach. See pictures

We stayed 1 night here and were pleased with the room, first the rate was less then the tiny room with no amenities in the last place we stayed & this place was very roomy, it had a microwave, a mini fridge, a comfy sofa chair, WiFi, a phone, individually wrapped bar soap. We had a king bed, the place offered a continental breakfast in morning also . My only complaint would be the air conditioning was either too cold or the auto got confused & started blowing hot air so I just turned it off, but since I travel with my own fan its not a huge issue, just an annoyance. Oh the TV was kinda small considering the size of the room & bed, lol but we were so tired, we didn't really care. Definitely worth the price would come back! Would recommend! Would look for this hotel chain name in other states also

Wouldn't go back again. The positive: the staff was friendly yet dismissive. The bed was comfortable. The negative: The hotel was dirty and lots of things were broken. The staff seems trained to dismiss and minimize issues if they aren't easily fixable and to prevent people talk with management (several reviews on here mention much difficulty with getting on touch with management). The room was not clean. When we checked in there was a used ring pop lying in the middle of the floor and there was a disgusting cow costume hanging in the bathroom. There were yellow urine stains all over the toilet. Clorox wipes were a lifesaver here. The couches were super dingy and dirty! So gross.... We put towels down before we felt comfortable sitting on them. The hotel does not seem to lock any of the multiple exterior doors. And one of the exterior door handles was busted anyways. Seems like a security risk to let just anybody into the hotel. On that note, one of the unlocked stairwells smelled of urine and cigarettes. There was a wall mounted lamp in our room that was about ready to fall off. Flopped this way and that. There was a part of the floor that was missing any carpet at all.The inside of the microwave was covered in grease and had obviously not been cleaned recently. And the final straw was when the AC system in my 1 year old daughter's room started putting out heat even when turned to the AC setting. We immediately called maintenance that afternoon and they "fixed it" by leaving a note saying we had to keep it below 70° or it would begin heating again. Which isn't great, but doable. Richard the maintenance guy did come quickly when we first called him and he was trying to troubleshoot the AC.Later that night, it began heating the room again. We called in the hotel staff and they suggested we keep the temperature at 67° because above that the heater would come on. Too cold for a 1 year old. Thankfully it was our last night there.I was speaking to the front desk staff as we were packing up and she told me they planned to put someone in our room within 30 minutes of us checking out. Didn't seem like enough time to clean the room, not to mention repair the borderline AC unit.My wife notified the front desk of all these issues and the front desk apathetically said "I'll notate that here" without looking back up at her. My wife then asked, "it seems like you guys need to keep your cleaning staff accountable wouldn't you say?". The front desk clerk responded with "did you notify us of this after you first checked in?" .....no apology, no concern at all regarding the condition of our room. I had notified front desk staff of several of the issues as we discovered them over our 3 day trip. The front desk was also often unmanned throughout the day so when I'd go down or call to express a concern, there was no one there. We were told by the night staff that the manager would be in in the morning of 5/30, my wife asked for the manager on 5/30 to share the above concerns and staff said she wasn't in.We bought plenty of Clorox wipes and Lysol and made it work. But never again.

The location is convenient if you're passing through. It felt scuzzy, but felt clean. They definitely need an update. Our door was obviously kicked in at some point, which felt super unsafe. Slept with a gun.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No sleep timer on the remote, OK I can live with that. But there is no fridge in the room because it is handicap accessible? The manager will not permit a fridge to be moved to this room! I guess handicapped people don't deserve to have a cool drink! When I said I would pay extra to have a fridge in the room I was refused also. When I asked if I can change to another room that has a fridge young lady at the desk said yes I can do that but it's on the second floor and the elevator doesn't work! Really? The shower water drips and it can't be shut off!

We've been to one hotel that was worse than this La Quinta. We weren't expecting 4 star experience but we wouldn't stay here again. Most of the outlets were extremely loose (both loose in the walls and the stuff we plugged in was also loose) and they felt very unsafe. Honestly I was glad that I had brought a large battery that we could charge our phones from instead of leaving our stuff plugged in overnight. There were no free outlets or USB ports near the desk but our microwave (about 8 feet from the desk and the bed) had 2 USB ports and an outlet.. so that was interesting. The hotel advertises that they serve breakfast on their website but that's not true because of Covid. I realize that Covid is a big deal but I would think that after 9 months they should be able to update their webpage, or provide prepackaged food like some places use. This hotel also seems to feel that two sheets is adequate bedding in December. While I will grant you the El Paso is not the coldest place but we had to go to the desk and stand in line as multiple guests were asking for blankets. Their social distancing is also abysmal. Most of the guests I saw were not wearing masks and I didn't feel comfortable in the common areas. We aren't that picky about hotels but this was just ridiculous. If we had known that this place had all these issues we would have definitely stayed somewhere else. All in all, I was glad that we only had to spend one night here.

So to preface who I am, and to give context to this review, I am a retired infantryman, I have literally slept in holes in the ground that I personally spent the day digging, horrible conditions, the worst weather, so I'm not picky too much when I travel. When I first walked in, I thought the lobby looked a little dingy, but again I don't care. The clerk actually did do well and got me a room and had me on my way. As I'm walking in the hallway, I'm seeing the carpet curled up and they're stains on it and it just looks kind of gross. When I get to the room, I walk in and set my bag on the ground, and , suddenly realize this smell cigarettes smoke. For a non-smoking room, in the 2 seconds I was in there I was already getting a stuffed nose. I get ready to set my suitcase on the bed but I stopped because it looked like somebody had been laying in the bed. When I look closer, I can see stains of an undetermined origin on the bed sheets, the bed cover, and on the pillow. There's lovely gang graffiti card into the desk. I look at the floor and realize it's so disgusting looking I would not want to walk on it in my bare feet. There was a ball of hair on the ground. Yes a human ball of hair. even little tiny particles of the previous person's bowel move it still at the bottom of the toilet. I go back downstairs to tell the clerk, who is a very young man on Night Shift and had neither the authority nor the ability to determine what to do. The one good thing he did was offer an upgrade to a suite, but considering how filthy the entire place was, I declined it for safety and health reasons. I would not go back there ever. When I tried to call Expedia to cancel the rest of my reservation, the hotel still charged me for one night, apparently I have to live up to their expectations for reservations, but they don't have to live up to my expectations for a clean room. When I tried to contact the hotel, they wanted a hotel itinerary number and not the Expedia one, which then prevented me from being able to contact them directly. Piece of crap, do not stay there.
