First time at La Nuevo Casita Cafe. I had the tacos Estrellas and my girlfriend had the cheese enchiladas with green chili. My tacos were perfectly seasoned pork and beef with homemade corn tortillas. The beans with chorizo were a perfect complement with the Mexican rice. The cheese enchiladas were good as well with a side of Calabacitas which were perfectly cooked in a creamy sauce. Prices are affordable and the decor is authentic New Mexican in a great part of town. Please check out La Nuevo Casita Cafe.

First time in New Mexico, and we were looking for some authentic local food. We stumbled upon this gem, and it did not disappoint! The interior has a charming, authentic aesthetic that immediately sets the tone for a unique dining experience. The menu offered dishes that were a refreshing departure from the typical Tex-Mex we're used to. When the food arrived, we were blown away from the very first bite. The flavors were absolutely delicious--bold, distinct, and unlike anything we've tasted elsewhere. The servers were incredibly hospitable and made the experience even better. Between the warm ambiance, fantastic service, and unforgettable flavors, this spot is a must-visit. It's a cozy place with a lot of heart. if you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and eat here!

Went out of my way to come here for lunch based on Yelp reviews. I was disappointed because the food I was served was warmed over meat that was burnt, and dried out. Only could taste salt or MSG-some kind of enhancer. I dine out to get fresh food not leftovers. The rice also was warmed up and so was dried out. I appreciated that they give a dollop of guacamole and sour cream with the plate rather than making you buy it separately. However, the quality of the meat and rice was subpar. Ambiance was crowded, dark and noisy. Service was okay.

Made a stop here while visiting NM! Thank you, Yelp, for pointing me in the right direction! Food was delicious! I ordered the red chile enchiladas with chicken! Those suckers were flavorful and stuffed with delicious chicken! The calabacitas as a side was an unexpected delight! Only thing that would make this place even better would be service that was better attentive. Had to ask multiple waitresses for water and then sour cream, but none would help, but would only say our waitress would be with us. It's a cute restaurant with a Santa Fe vibe! I would return and if their service is fully (meaning all waitstaff) attentive and helpful, this restaurant woukd surely be worthy of a five-star!

Loved this spot in Las Cruces. First- free chips and salsa. And the salsa is goooood. Their Estrella Tacos were insanely good! As well as the chile relleno omelette. Wow! Service was great. Fast and even apologized for being slow. Not much to look at. But I'm telling you- it's so good.

THE BEST authentic Mexican food I've had in a while. We ordered the Chile rellenos, flautas, enchiladas, and the star tacos. Each plate was I couldn't believe how much flavor there was in each bite.

We were passing thru Las Cruces and saw the high ratings for this restaurant so had to try it out. Like a previous yelper we weren't sure about the area but happy we stopped. The place was packed when we got there. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very nice and friendly. She brought chips and salsa and our drinks. We asked a few questions about the menu and placed our order. The salsa was very good and had a little kick to it. The food came out piping hot and looked delicious. The wife ordered the combo so she could try different items off the menu. I had the enchiladas and they were yummy!! I looked at my wife's plate and the chili relleno was gone! Didn't even offer me a bite lol She really liked it. The waitress kept checking on us making sure we were good and the food was good. She was so nice and smiled every time. Will we go back?? Heck yes we will!!

This place had very decent reviews so we decided to check it out after the market. We were seated immediately and the food was out before my husband could even park the car. Service was friendly, no complaints there. My husband loved his chimichanga - the kids didn't touch their food, or the chips and salsa. My tacos were so hard I could barely chew them and they tasted like that had been fried in rancid oil. Huge bummer. We will maybe try again.

2nd time here and it just gets better! We enjoyed the food so much and our waitress Andrea was just darling! The sauces (red or green) are a bit spicy but I had it on the side so I could manage it. Their specialty beans were fantastic and the squash soup is so unique! Gotta try it!We'll be back for sure.
