The view from outside makes it look small. Once you enter you'll be surprised by the size of the restaurant. Warm and cozy. Food came out quickly and hot! Fresh homemade tortillas were delicious.

Not favorite Malinche but thought I'd give a try. The host/owner is not friendly and literal looks the other way when one tries to get her attention. Only one waitress and she is working hard and she is friendly. She's the only reason I didn't give it one star. The tostada chips are hard and old. When we asked for fresh ones , we were told that we are fresh. The food was ok. And lots of un-buses tables. Don't recommend and will not return.

Went in to try something new, as we walked in, didn't know if we were supposed to find our own table or wait for service, so after a couple minutes of watching the waitresses looking at us we decided to find our own seat. Tables were dirty. We waited for at least 5 minutes, only to have customers that came in after us get their menus before us. Then the waitresses walked away without even acknowledging us. We got up and left. Didn't even get to try the food, which based on the reviews here sounds like we dodged a bullet!

I've been going here since I was a little kid. I moved to Arizona a little over 5 years ago but I still make it a point to eat here when I visit. This is one of my favorite, authentic mexican food restarants in El Paso. The staff, whom have worked here for years, are so sweet and funny and try to put a smile on all their customer's faces. I could see how some people would get frustrated with service wait times as they can get packed in the mornings on weekends but it's just like any other family restarant on Sunday mornings would be, they really do try to accomodate everyone. In all my years of going here they've never let me down.

I use to go here for years growing up, but due an incident with spoiled cheese, stopped eating here for a while. Quite a few of my coworkers enjoy this place, so I figure when one recommended that we go for lunch we could try it for lunch. When I walked in I had a surge of nostalgia...though some of the paintings are no longer there, the place looks almost exactly the same (down to the straw wrapper on the floor). My coworker was about to sit at a table, but I asked her to move. It would have been under one of the many discolored, rain bubbled roof titles. It made me uneasy, but I decided to go with the flow because that's just the kind of chill guy I am.We both ordered chile relleno burritos and I ordered a side of fries. As with any mexican restaurant, we got the complimentary chips and salsas. The chips were not homemade (strike one), they were bagged. You would think that a place like this would pride themselves in their sides...but the chips were stale (strike two). However, the salsa was excellent. I ate the whole bowl by itself. When our burritos arrived, I noticed sauce coming out of the side. While I thought that was weird based on what we ordered,I picked up the burrito, and a chunk of pork fell out. Yeah, they gave both of us Chile Verde burritos. Stuff happens, and when we brought it to the servers attention, she quickly brought us replacement burritos. They were the epitome of yawn. Luke warm (strike three) with bland beans and a coating that was more egg than chile. The fries that accompanied were okay. Those seemed more homemade than the the chips. However, they were entirely too greasy, to the point where the white wax paper beneath became more see through. It will be a long time before I return here again.

Terrible service and the food wasn't good either. Wouldn't recommend to a starving person.

Was served a "Mexican plate special". If I could figure out how to upload a photo I would attach it to this review. Underneath my food I found a 1/2inch sized spider! Utterly disgusting! I'm currently looking into making an official written complaint to the city health department. The manager tried to say it was a fly. I have a photo of the insect in my enchilada sauce! Ridiculous and utterly sickening! I'll be watching myself for the signs and symptoms of food poisoning.
