La Malinche

Love La Malinche Cafe. This is an authentic Mexican Ranchero cafe restaurant that serves good buritos, sandwiches and burgers as well as a well priced lunch. Today, I had some fish soup, steak ranchero and tea for $11.99. So definitely a great value. Located at the State Line retail center close to the horse track and Sundland Park this is local gem on the westside. Service is friendly and focused.

Decent food, good value/prices, service was friendly even though a little slow. Docking an extra star because of cleanliness (found an eyelash in my food.)Got the small menudo (only available Saturdays and Sundays). The small was more than enough. The two pieces of bread it came with were really good. However, I was adding the side of onions into my soup and noticed that there was an eyelash in there.. which was kinda gross.My husband got the bacon and egg breakfast burrito. It was surprisingly big since it was so cheap. Not too impressed with the flavor though - it was bland and a little dry.

My local friend recommended this place if i wanted "real Mexican food" while i was in town. The huevos rancheros were absolutely fantastic and like no other I have had before. I'm used to them being in a red sauce but whatever sauce they created was amazing. The staff was super sweet and the decor was nice with cool lanterns hung around the restaurant.

Our waiter was the only good thing about this restaurant. The food was gross. My niece ordered a burger that was the only good thing. Her fries were under cooked. Red rice was undercooked. Never had chicken fajitas like this before. Oh the he's s we're good. The red enchiladas sauce tasted like from the can. I would avoid this place. Also way overpriced for what we got.

Great breakfast place! Good was hot and service was great! I have the huevos rancheros and hubs had a burrito. So good! Salsa was really good!

Did not really care for the place , the tortilla chips served at table were very salty and not really fresh. The drinking cups are so old cracks around the rims. The plates are old food doesn't look pleasant with cracks on them. I wouldn't recommend this place . Guacamole not appealing . Maybe some of the food is good . They need to train servers with more hospitality . Upgrade the dinner plates ,drinking cups and so on.....

the green chilaquiles where so bad I do not recommend. The meat that came with it was a so dry and hard, my teeth started to hurt. The chilaquiles were very watery and all you could taste is wet pieces of chips. You can barely taste the green chile sauce. Service is the only thing that was good. This place is always full.

The chicken taco plate is outstanding! The service fast and friendly. I come here often and the cooking is good. The best fries in town and the cheeseburger wonderful. Good place for breakfast OR lunch. I will be back.

Just got the worst huevos rancheros served with nacho cheese on top Can you imagine!! Plus the cashier was very rude when I mentioned my disappointment about the plate! I'm given only 2 stars because the waitress was very sweet and helpful But for the food and cashier is a 0 This happend at the one on Sunland Park dr and Doniphan.
