La Cocina de Martha

We stopped by this place completely by mistake. We were trying to go somewhere else and realize that they had shut down. Saw this place and thought what the heck. Cute little place. The only person working was the owner, who is super friendly.The food was fresh and delicious! We are definitely going back and I'll get photos next time!

3.5 stars. It's true what the other reviewers say about the salsa, it's really outstanding. I quaffed it with the chips and she served me a 2nd serving of the salsa which I finished off also. I ordered the chiles rellenos and they're not bad. Nothing amazing but the owner is super nice. The combination of her salsa, the owner's charm and her home cooked food adds a lot of charm to this place. I really had a great time here.

This is "THE" place to go if you want fantastic Mexican food. Great salsa! Outstanding homemade chips, homemade tortillas. I have not ever had anything bad here....EVER!.This is a great place with delicious food and a very inviting atmosphere. Martha is a sweetheart. Love this place...my "Go To" place every time.

My boyfriend and I have tried so many Mexican restaurants while in El Paso, and we both agree that the salsa here is hands-down the best! Martha, the charming and cheerful owner, was actually surprised we liked it so much! It doesn't have much heat and it's packed with flavor, and with the homemade chips, it's out of this world. I absolutely loved my chile rellenos dish, which came with rice and beans and tortillas. They weren't too oily like other places, and I even loved the sauce which was kind of a cheese sauce with peppers. Fantastic! My boyfriend got the cheese enchiladas, which he flavored up with the salsa, but the child rellenos are what stole the show. They are incredible!

We got the torta, tacos, tres leches and the lemonade! Everything was delicious would definitely recommend

The food is authentic, the house salsa is delicious and the service was wonderful!

Being from California , it's hard to find authentic Mexican food , but once we discovered this Gem , we will be here more often . Food was the best . One of the absolute best places we've been to in awhile . Everything was homemade. The owner was an angel . Continued to see how the food was and if we needed anything else . The tres leches cake was amazing highly recommend place

I work in the area and decided I wanted tacos but didn't want to go far. Luckily I hit this place up. It literally is home made food. The salsa was awesome!!! Nice and spicy and the tacos come with 3. I got al pastor. It also comes with beans and half an avocado and grilled onions. WOW!!! $8 for tacos a little steep but well worth it. Going back next week for sure.

Great food and friendly staff but best of all, Great prices!! Her limeade is the BEST in town! Give it a try :)

I bought a burrito desebrada a la mexicana. That is how i know if its going to be a good redtaurant to go to. I was delighted 100% home-made. Im not easy to please. Was impressed. The owner very friendly. Will go back
