La Choza Menudazo & Tamalotes

I visited this location and wanted to host a private party in their back room. No one there could help and stated I had to contact the owner - Sonia. I eventually got a phone number two weeks later and I contacted her to have a private event for 60 people for $13 per person = $780 plus gratuity. She never called back and I left several messages. I just find it interesting that a business owner neglects to confirm an event that would generate over $800 for one hour of business on a slow day (Tuesday at 3pm). The place is disorganized. Yes the food may be good but service and attentiveness as a businesss owner is needed too. People remember this and won't return.

The food is decent compare to other places on the east side . Very tasteless .They not getting full stars because is disorganized, no space to walk inside too much chaos . Waitress need to pay attention who is next on the list . Other wise they will just skip you . To pay is just another hustle the line is mix with the pick up and to go . So you be waiting for a long time to get out of there. Will not come back here if it's any holiday or weekend . I'llConsider other days

visited on a weekday, so it wasn't packed at all and we were seated very fast.we all ordered menudo, and tamales. the menudo and tamales were great! I have zero complaints. menudo was nice and hot, flavorful and the onion, lime and condiments were yummy.the tamale was nice and moist, meat was flavorful, no complaints there.for drink ordered the limonada, and it was good.my only complaint and loss of one star was because two flies literally harassing us lol. I know it's life and sometimes not preventable but it was hard to eat with the flies.other than that, the place was clean. music was at a good volume. baby friendly. employee was very nice and attentive. lots of parking as well!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to go eat breakfast, that wasn't so cramped or crowded. We drove to a couple of spots however they were small and packed, which made us nervous. He suggested we check out this restaurant. I have only been to the one on Zaragoza before and didn't really like it, but I can't say no to that face. I was very pleased with this location on Montana. We were greeted at the door and I was really glad to see that they were requiring masks until seated. The tables were spaced more than the recommended guidelines and they had every other table open. After we were seated, our menus were brought out right away and the waitress was very friendly. She didn't rush us when my guy was indecisive about what to order. She was also very pleasant to chat with, I personally like to get to know my servers. It's nice to not be treated like a number and I appreciated her enthusiasm. After what seems like an eternity my dude decided on the enchiladas montadas and the picadillo burrito, I got the Huevos poblanos. The food was brought out in a timely manner and it was delicious. I have never heard of Huevos poblanos before but it looked good on the menu and it was delicious. I will definitely be coming back here.

If you want menudo this is the place. It is delicious! Served with toasty buttered French bread, so yummy. I tried their agua fresca de melon, it was awesome. I'm here again this weekend!

I ordered for takeout the Platillo of Desebrada w the rice and frijoles- wow it was sooo tasty full of flavor. It only took 8 minutes to get the order ready. I will definitively come back here

My life was changed the other day after having enmoladas. I never knew they existed, so I can say they were the best I've ever had. Rice and beans were amazing. Fountain drinks are huge, menus and bathrooms were clean. Service was great.

Only bad review is the organization in the kitchen, with the orders. I went to get takeout. I ordered chicken enmoladas with eggs but I got a completely different order. I got regular red cheese enchiladas , I was disappointed cause I specifically asked for chicken with eggs. The menudo was good, never anything bad to say about their menudo.

Best menudo in town!!!! It's a busy place though. Sunday mornings; better get there early. Staff is friendly & service is quick. They have tasty aguas frescas too.

Service is average, food is average... downside point they charge a percentage for paying with credit card.... watch out! will not comeback...
