La Choza Menudazo & Tamalotes

I can't wait to return to the far northeast EP for La Choza!After working on the trails at nearby Hueco Tanks State Park, the kids and I stopped by for a late brunch. Let me tell you, it was packed. There wasn't a line going out the door, but there was quite the wait list. We were patient and waited to see what the wait was all about.The kids split a full size Desayuno plate and a kids pancake plate. That was plenty for them. I wanted to try their chilaquiles vedes with chicken. Then I also, for whatever reason - maybe because it was the weekend - I later ordered a small menudo. It was all amazing. The chilaquiles had a great flavor and the plate came with rice and beans, two eggs, which I ordered over easy, and corn tortillas. It sounds like a lot, because it was.The menudo was spicy and hot, and full of pancita. it came with two slices of buttered bread, a plate of lime, onions, and cilantro.I'm excited about coming back... the kids are too.

We were looking for champurrado and a local Yelp friend, Amos, told us they might have it. Off we went! The place was happening on a Saturday afternoon! It was also very clean which I like.I found the spot for to-go orders and used my entire limited Spanish vocabulary! No problem! The folks were gracious and 5 minutes later, I had a grande champurrado for $5. My wonderful wife and I agreed it was and always shall be delicious! This is a fun local spot with unique, colorful decor and great staff!Life is good with champurrado!

Delicious?? Oh No No No. That's not the word for the flavors of the food or drinks served here. I was recommended to try the Menudo here and WOW!! The food here at La Choza is; UHMAZING, ASTOUNDING, MARVELOUS, SCRUMPTIOUS!! I could go on and on but I don't know how many characters I could use in this Review.

Waitress was a treasure the food less than appetizing. They advertise food traditional Mexican. Not very tasty. The sauce for the tamales looked like it came straight out of a puréed tomato can. The tamales tasted ok-pork but then added spicy chili sauce and the taste was lost. The chili relleno was made with 2 types of cheese but the blend was lost. The tortillas were not handmade and tasted old. Very sad the restaurant was very disappointing.

Menudo is good!Service was a little slow but it was packed on Sunday.Music was awesome!

Nothing to complain about great menudo and great service , their tamales are pretty good especially montados con huevos.

Fui a desayunar y desde que entre la camera o hostess me ignoro y rento a una pareja que estaba atras de mi primero y me dejo parado y fui me senté a una mesa yo solo y pasaban las meseras y me ignoraban y sentaron 3 mesas después que a mi les sirvieron primero y me queje con una mesera y me dijo que me sentará qué ella me atendía pero mejor me fui y me queje con la misma cajera y también me dijo lo mismo creo que es una falta de respeto ignorar ala persona que va a consumir aunke estén muy ocupados ..

BAD SERVICE AND BAD FOOD, waited for a long time before waitress came to take the order, we order lunch specials and had to wait for about 20 minutes to get our second plate, when it arrived tacos were very cold and soggy, waitress was not close to us and run out of drinks, we could see her from the distance using her phone. They charge you more than the price on the menu, that on top of a 3% they charge if you use a card to pay, When we were to pay we were charged $2 more for each meal.

We eat here a few times a month and the food is great and the staff so friendly .. I highly recomend
