With this letter, I would hereby like to compliment, "Karen's Animal House"! Karen provided me with excellent service today. Karen helped me out by taking my 2 large German Shepherds after finding a few fleas on them. This happened to my dogs after staying at the, " La Quinta" (pet friendly hotel). We have been on the road for six days traveling from New York on our way back to California. This morning we woke up to both dogs scratching miserably, with fleas from this hotel! Karen told me she was actually booked solid this morning but she rearranged her schedule to help us out because of our situation. Karen's attention to detail, great communication skills, and ready smile made the experience even better than I expected.I am so excited to share this with you! We are so pleased with her expertise and expedient service! We were able to get back on the road and continue our travel within one hour from dropping the dogs off.Hence, Karen's professionalism and enthusiasm to get to the root of the issue promptly exceeded my expectations. She called us when the dogs were finished. When we picked them up she surprised us with a 10% military discount which I stood there in disbelief! This type of professionalism and commitment to the highest level of customer's satisfaction has to be acknowledged. Having in mind such a pleasant experience with her and her lovely employee! It is my pleasure to recommend anyone reading this to do business with her in the future! Sincerely,London Fiehler

My dog is my child, so boarding him for any amount of time was super stressful for me. My husband and I had planned to fly out of state to visit family, and would be gone two weeks. We looked around for quite awhile and even did an overnight at another kennel before realizing that Karen's Animal House was what we had been looking for all along.First, their staff was what we wanted to see: people who loved animals and were understanding of how to handle stressed dogs who'd never been away from home. You'd be surprised how long it took us to find this in Las Cruces and how taken back we were from other places. The staff was super nice and answered all our questions in depth.Secondly, their facility put us at ease because the kennels were large and comfortable and the play area was both inside and outside with more than enough room to run. We visited during a day care session and there were plenty of dogs his size (huge) for my dog to run and play with. The place was also very clean and you could tell they took very good care of it.Lastly, the pricing was fantastic and less expensive than the majority of the kennels we visited. While day care was extra, our dog had such a good time he didn't want to leave when we picked him up after two weeks away. It was definitely worth every penny for peace of mind leaving our dog in good hands and knowing it was as much of a vacation for him as it was for us.We'll definitely be taking our dog back again when we go out of town, and we highly recommend it to anyone who is weary of other kennels in the area.

I have taken my dog to Karen's Animal House for over two years. He has been kenneled, attends daycare and has attended numerous classes. I trust Karen and her staff completely with my dog. My dog loves going to the Animal House!

They were so very kind on drop off and pick up. I left two guinea pigs In their care and I would definitely use them again. When I first called in to ask about boarding them, the person who answered was unsure but would call me back. (Boarding small animals that are not dogs/cats is not very common so this is usual at any place) She promptly kept her promise and gave me a call back a bit later and had all the answers I needed. The drop off and pick up went so smoothly. I got back to town a bit earlier than expected, and they accommodated me picking up early!

Karen and staff are wonderful! I have been bringing my dogs there for several months for grooming, boarding, doggie daycare on occasion. Staff aim to please with grooming and listen to what the customer wants. I also have a "grumpy" dog and offered to muzzle him for a nail trim, but Karen trimmed his nails w/o a muzzle so as not to stress him. I truly appreciate her care for the animals. Her son gave my shy dog extra attention when he boarded to help him settle in and they were always honest and willing to give me an update when I called to check in on how he was doing. Other dogs coming in at the daycare while I was in the lobby appeared happy to enter the building and go to play there, which is a good sign the feels safe and comfortable. Karen also offers training and agility, which I haven't tried out.

Karen is the best show (conformation), obedience, and agility trainer I know. She always reminds you her training is more about educating the handler than the dog. I have seen her work with truly aggressive and stubborn dogs and NEVER seen her punch a dog. She has helped many people, including myself, put show and obedience titles on their dogs. This is NOT done by abusing the dogs, as abused dogs become unpredictable and this is the last thing the trainer wants!Mike and Roz Skibyak

Karen's Animal House our furbabies' (both dogs and cats) home away from home. Care for our kids is great. The dogs adore daycare and about run laps around the car when they realize we turned onto Mahaney and they are getting to go to daycare. They adore Karen and the staff! We have also trained obedience, agility, and rally with Karen and both dogs have done great. I have done training for more than 20 years at a variety of other places and can say Karen knows what she is doing. I can hear her in my head saying, "Love on that dog." when my dog is learning something new and does it correctly. She wants not only the dog to succeed but the owner's to succeed. I have recommended Karen's Animal House to all my friends and coworkers and now I recommend this place for boarding, day care, grooming, and training to you.

Completely heart broken as I picked up my dog from Karen's Animal House. I dropped off a healthy and happy 149 lbs Mastiff, 8 days later I picked up a lethargic, dehydrated 119 lbs very ill dog that could barely walk due to a swollen paw/leg. We had to rush him to the emergency vet. It was determined that he had an infected paw, a temperature close to 105 degrees and severely dehydrated. My husband did receive a call from Karen the day before we were to pick him up, she said that she thought he had a spider bite and his paw was swollen. She said he was able to stand, eat, and drink. We did opt for him not to go the vet at that time based on the information she gave us. I was in tears when I saw him, if I would have known the severity of his injury I would have authorized the vet visit. The story didn't make sense to me, how could he have lost that much weight in 24 hours, therefore I called the owner to clarify the story so I could share with the vet so we can get him better. I was not able to reach her till two days later. She did clarify the time line for me and said he had been eating and drinking until the last few days. I was very polite and told her I would call her back once we determine the cause of the I injury so perhaps she could prevent this in the future. Our follow up visit with the vet revealed a possible snake or small dog bite. When I shared with Karen, she got nasty with me and said this did not occur in her facility. I know I dropped off a healthy dog, in fact he had just had a visit to the vet prior to me dropping him off. I asked her why she was being nasty and she said she has to defend her lively Hood. I understand that accidents happen and I should have made a better decision and authorize a Vet visit. Not once did I ask her to pay his vet bills nor did I say anything derogatory about her business on line or social media, but her reaction was uncaring and rude. If you care about your pet as I do, I do not recommend this facility

This is a wonderful place to learn and interact with your dog. They offer all kinds of classes from puppy manners to agility and everything in between. I take classes here and use their boarding and daycare services too. Excellent professional staff. Clean spaces, lots of room and light. Very well priced. They also have professional grooming on site.
