Great time! We came during lunch and were able to be seated right away (group of 10). The ambiance was great and the staff was awesome. The salsa was perfect!! (Not spicy). All of our food came out quick and was hot. I personally had the cheese red enchiladas and they were perfect Zero complaints! Deff will be back!

The tacos were very greasy, so I didn't enjoy them at all. They're one of the few things on the menu that might be gluten free. I was very disappointed that a popular El Paso restaurant had such marginal food and almost no gluten free options.

I have loved going to Julio's for years! The ambiance is nice and fun. Their chili rellenos is always fantastic as well as their enchiladas, which is why I like to order both of them on a platter. Their drinks are really impressive too

I was craving chicken tortilla soup, so that is what I ordered! What a disappointment! I had ordered it before and it was good. It's a bowl of chicken soup and the side they give you the tortillas strips, cheese, and avocado. They used to bring you a side of chile ancho but not anymore. I threw all my stuff in the bowl and after 2 bites, I just had about enough! It was just bland, no flavor, not even adding salsa and salt helped. And who serves big chunks of chicken breast? So, I asked for a to-go container and decided to fix it at home, to make it taste better. I added sautéed onion and jalapeños, cilantro, tomato consommé, and some more seasoning. It came out good! I also decided to shred the chicken that it came with. Now I know to stay away from this soup. The sopapillas I ordered were not good. They must have not washed out the fryer because it tasted spicy, almost had the taste of chile. I'm thinking that the same fryer they make their chile rellenos, is the same one they fried the sopapillas. Talk about cross contamination and flavors! It was just a disappointment today!

Great spot for authentic Mexican food.Atmosphere is great, service was wonderful, food was yummy and reasonably priced, drinks such as coffee and tea a bit on the high side at almost $4, other than that enjoyed Julio's very much.

I'm back, and Julio's is as good as ever! I wanted to write an update so that I could give Kudos to our server Carlos. The man was friendly, happy and it would not have been possible to provide better service. It is awesome to see someone so enjoy their job. Thank you Carlos!Oh and yes, and I did have the Mexican plate. And ask for onions on the Enchiladas and Spanish (Tomato) sauce on the Chile Relleno. They make the best I've ever had! If I had my choice of one meal for the rest of my life, this would be it!

Amazing, legendary food, ambiance, and service!I had the Mexican plate and it was fabulous! Many typical Mexican plates do not come with a heaping spoonful of guacamole, but this one does and it was superb! The manager came by to check on us and the waiter was an old PRO, Mario, our favorite waiter! I noticed that the managers are going around checking on diners more often to make sure everything is good, and that is wonderful, I love it! The tostadas were better than ever before, and the salsa at the table was fresh and so delicious! This iconic and legendary restaurant is always a joy to visit!

I ordered a buffet style meal for coworkers today. It sounds like the food was good, and I received a lot of confirmatory calls ahead of time from Julio's staff, which I appreciated, but they forgot the all-important TORTILLAS for the fajitas. They were quick to bring them, but since we were hosting another group, it was an embarrassing point to be without tortillas for the first 20 minutes of lunch. Still willing to try it again!

Nice family place, servers were very nice, good ambiance, quiet and pleasant. Food came out hot, Mexican plate had a generous scoop of guacamole, good salsa. Regular margarita also generous and tasty although not strong if that's your goal. Food was good, I didn't care for the enchilada sauce but my husband loved it, I thought the chile relleno was soggy and the breading flat from sitting too long but my husband loved it because it and his whole meal wasn't spicy. I like spicy and fresh made, but my expectations are always low for chile rellenos, as they're trouble to make. All in all, good food, prices decent, nice place with friendly staff, clean restrooms and that always makes me feel the restaurant is cared for. I'd return here.
