I've only been to two gyms on post and Soto gym is definitely not number two! They have two floors, first floor is the weight lifting or basketball area, second floor is strictly cardio. The greatest part about this gym is that it is open on the weekends and holidays! So if your looking for a workout during any holiday then this gym is for you! Must have a military ID or if you're not in the military have a visitors pass to get on post, also 100% ID upon entering the gym. With that being said for my military folks you can wear civilian clothes during pt hours at the gym.

They need to fix the dang sauna or this would be easily 4-5 stars. It's been out of commission for months now. Other than that it's an outstanding facility. The spin classes in the morning are good if you can break away from the hum drum destruction of your body during good ole army PRT.

This is hands down the BEST gym on Fort Bliss and can rival commercial gyms located off post too. It's 96,000 sq feet so it has everything you could ever want. Seriously. The equipment is top of the line too and you very rarely see anything out of order. The weight area is 11,000 sq feet and also includes an adjacent room with equipment for all you circuit and cross fit buffs. Two full size basketball courts. The upper level holds some 200+ pieces of cardio equipment. There is an indoor track, a room with a kiddy playpen so you can exercise and watch your kid(s), group exercise room/classes, wrestling and boxing room, locker room with sauna, snack bar, and they just included massage therapy services. There's even a small outdoor area covered in turf for body weight exercises or sprints if you're feeling up to it. Impressed yet?Hours are legit too, open until 10:00 PM most nights. High traffic hours are nuts though. You won't be able to squeeze yourself in the weight area because it is PACKED past the point of ridiculous. Also not a lot of women are in the weight room just in general so if you are lady, then you will most likely get stared at but don't let that deter you. You do you! The gym is kept clean which is amazing considering how much traffic must come through there. There are wet wipes stations everywhere and reminder signs to clean equipment after use but like 9 out of 10 people don't do this. If you carry anything with you while working out, be sure to keep up with your stuff. Someone stole my women's Nike weight lifting gloves when I took them off and sat them down to do something else. I don't make it out to this location too often but the workers I have interacted with here are nice, except maybe one. If you are eligible to use the facility, I highly recommend it!

I've been to all the gyms on Fort Bliss, while visiting from Fort Carson. This is hands down the best gym on post. Plenty of dumbbells, benches, and machines. Only problem I had was the lighting was a little dim and you're not a loud to wear muscle shirts/stringers.

Free for active military with CAC card. Weight lifting area are always packed. I always go to the second floor every time I'm here. Not bad, useful and I enjoy it.

Nice new equipment always kept in good shape. Every time I come it is always clean, from the bathrooms to the weights. During the specter high traffic times and get get pretty crowded.

Best gym on Fort Bliss. I wish they had 24/7 access though (like the gyms at Fort Sam)

Great gym. Everything is spread out, tons of equipment - I have always been able to get a squat rack or bench. Love the indoor track and crossfit room. The staff is helpful, the equipment is clean, well maintained, and overall it is still pretty new equipment. Always see people playing basketball on the courts. There are many classes and also many events like races/5k/marathons/fun runs. Great spot on Fort Bliss, alot better than gyms on other posts.

One of the best military gyms in the area. Large selection of equipment (selector, plate, and free weight). Open floor plan. Second level has cardio and rubberized indoor track with lanes. Dry sauna. Showers and lockers. Not much for recovery area though unless one of those rooms upstairs is hiding something. What's in those rooms??
