Joe's Place

Really cute local bar that's opened late! Food menu is minimal but drink menu is ample. Servers were all very friendly! The Chips & Queso Borracho was amazing! Nachos were ok, the chips were a little soggy. But we didn't complain, I'm sure they would've fixed it if we gave them the opportunity so can't fault them on that.

This is a hidden gem to meet up with friends or colleagues to decompress over a few adult beverages and comfort food. The service is fabulous, fast and friendly. Jo Jo is a quiet, kind giant behind the bar that makes an amazing Old Fashioned with Four Roses as the standard... But you can take a taste of Texas and opt for a local whiskey for an exceptional cocktail. There's a patio and a dance floor with a playlist you'd love to have on Spotify if you want to hear a great mix of hits. This is one of the most fun places we've been to on our week-long work trek through Texas. We *will* be back!

So Yeah I found a gem, you know like a diamond! Really don't want to share and make more tarnished by saying Bring your ass to this spot! Anyway it's a GEM.

Friendly local place. Bartender JoJo knows how to make an Old Fashioned to perfection. It's well worth the time to find this gem near downtown close to what appears to be residential. The Carne Asada fries are delicious and filling and service is excellent. The covered outside patio is as comfortable as the inside tables. Stay inside is you want to take advantage of their large dance floor.

So first time here and I don't usually review on the initial visit. But its Stockton so how often do i get down here. Ambiance is fine inside may be a dance place this is really just for the patio bar...I walked in and went right to the bar to oder some tacos as i was hungry. Pero, not starting but the bartender at The Classic Man said the tacos were on point...so wait a bit and longer and staff is walking by and after like 3 minutes i sit down since i see the waiter taking orders. So I sit. And wait. Ok you get the point. They were busy and its Friday night so dude finally walks up and ask if i was taken care of and I wasn't but he took care of me- turns out it was the water fest? Don't recall now but trust this place ended up PACKED, my boi at the door hooked me up with mi familia (10 of us) and we were able to get back in (later once I rustled up everyone) and we had so much fun. Great food and drink- and super close to the casita.

OMG food is wonderful! They can make a drink taste like a Jolly Rancher! Nice kids (kids to me) running it! If you get onto town after ALL the restaurants close come here to eat! These boys are carrying on Grandpa Joes's legacy. The place isn't just for the youngins. Locals give them some love too.

Great people and a fantastic atmosphere. Best bar I've been to in years. They make you feel so welcome, plus they have games out back at the second bar. It's all around fun and karaoke is Thursday nights, and super fun. Love love love Joe's Place

Traveling from British Columbia, Canada for the first time in Texas and we were so lucky to find this gem. The staff were so friendly, the food was great, we highly recommend Joe's Place.

Great energetic group of guys, had a blast. Tacos were perfect and the free shot was felt the next day.Will definitely go back!

I do not take the time to write reviews often, but this place deserves one! It checks off everything you are looking for in a great bar/ restaurant. The food was amazing, highly recommend the street tacos. The drinks were great, but most of all, the service was the highlight. If you are in Fort Stockton or even passing through, do yourself a favor and stop off here.
