Joe’s Bar and Grill

Just left the Solomon Springs at Balmorhea State Park and looking for food! Just a few miles to Jo's Bar and Grill. Cute decor $1. Bills with a message. Nice Cantina. Now about the food! We had the 2 meat plate with French fries and beans. With added onion and dill pickles. Bar-B-Q sauce was perfect! Brisket was very tender and seasoning was spot on. Sausage was just the right combination with the brisket. We also shared the brisket loaded baked potato, there was plenty to eat, taking most of the potato back with us. When we arrived it was not yet open for dinner and we were sitting in the car waiting. Glad we did! The owner came out and told us we were welcome to come in and wait for the dinner staff to arrive. Highly recommend Jo's Bar and Grill! Down home barbecue done right!

This restaurant is way off the beaten path. Driving on Interstate 10 from CA to Tx to visit my sister. Yikes, I needed a (#1) restroom break and (#2) some food. Sorry. The bathroom was scary. Toilet not attached to the floor. What a surprise when I sat down. This made me a little hesitant to order the food. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The gal serving me was extremely polite and kind. The food was outstanding and plenty of it. I would recommend the brisket and homemade potato salad. Yum! Just don't come to eat with a full bladder. lol!

I'm just passing through town and saw this little spot and had to stop by. Tamara greeted me with the sweetest smile and the best service. I got a beer for a decent price and headed to the pool table in the back, I came back for another drink and she made me a great cayman Jack margarita with grenadine and salt. I ordered steak fingers which I had never heard of before but absolutely loved. 10/10 if I'm ever in town again I will be back!

A down home, friendly spot with country music, AC, ceiling fans and wall papered in $1 bills. Good drinks and great food. I'll be back when I'm passing this way again...

Great food! Fast. Brisket sandwich was delicious. We arrived at night, from the outside The place looks a bit scary. So the Restaurant part was deserted, but that's because all the fun was in the bar area which is in a separate room. The guy came by, very polite, and went to work immediately. All in all great food, friendly service - if you are around don't hesitate, go go go.

What a delicious brisket sandwich plus chili fries I just had! Great spot with great service and delicious food. Best stop in the road

So glad I came across this place. I stopped in Fort Stockton but everything that seemed decent was closed. I found this place on the map and took a chance. It could not have worked out any better. Great little town, great view. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. Steak fingers were amazing! You basically get an entire steak cut into strips and fried fresh. Fresh fries also. Don't pass this place up!

Don't pass this one up! Great food. Had the loaded brisket nachos. Really, really good with a cold beer. Staff was friendly & helpful. Will be back in the future.

Simple building but excellent food and service. Lots of meat on the burger and lots of meat in the tacos. The meat was fresh and very tasty.
