Just a fun little family style Mexican restaurant. Food was delicious, service is excellent.

While in El Paso was told JJ's is the place to enjoy Gordita's. Stopped in to order to go. A beef Gordita plate comes with 3 stuffed with beans, beef lettuce tomato with delicious green sauce and beans and rice. So much food for under $12.00. Nice lady at the counter took my order and the small dinning room was pretty full of families enjoying their meals.

Some restaurants have great food but terrible service. Others have great service but bad food. This place has both covered. That's why I give it 5 stars. It's cozy, the food is delicious and traditional, and there's excellent management in both aspects.

It was the worst customer service experience ever. They shorted us on a large order, insisted they didn't and were rude about the ordeal. Just go get your Gorditas at Delicious on Fort Blvd. Better food, better people.

One of my best friends is visiting me from out of town from Pennsylvania. She used to live in El Paso. There was a couple of places we wanted to order from but unfortunately they were closed on Mondays. We decided to order from JJ's since we both hadn't tried it before. I don't order Mexican food that often because I usually make it or one of my relative does. We'll have to make some soon since my friend is visiting! Anyway...I'm going to say 3.5 stars but round up to 4. Overall, the food tasted alright but not great. Most of my food needed salt, especially the rice and beans. I tried adding a little bit of red salsa to the gorditas. I didn't really like the taste of the red salsa so I decided not to use it. The cheese and tomatoes sort of helped give the gorditas more taste. Another thing I kind of didn't like is that JJ's doesn't sell soft drinks when you order off Uber Eats. I was hoping to get a Sprite but I wasn't able to. FYI, ordering food from Uber Eats is very expensive at this time. Ordering from JJs was no exception. They charge a small gas fee, along with a couple of other fees. I only ordered because we were really hungry and my friend was craving Mexican food. She says there's no where to really get Mexican food in Pennsylvania at this time without driving really far away. She and my bf both said the food was alright. She got red tamales and he got chicken fajitas. My friend said the tamales didn't have that much meat in them. Not sure if I would order from JJ's anytime soon. Probably not off of Uber Eats. I would have to go in person so that I don't pay those extra fees. The good thing about JJ's is that they have a pretty large menu to order from so...lots of choices for customers. P.S. My dog enjoyed all of the food!

I ordered my favorite meal from there on Dec 26th around lunch time and was given enchiladas that were not cooked. The red sauce was poured on top but the enchiladas were not put in the oven. The cheese still looked shredded and the tortilla was not cooked at all. I have ordered from here many times and it was good before this visit but it was upsetting they allowed uncooked food to be served to a customer.

The food at this place is not bad, but the service -- are you kidding me? SUCH rudeness around trying to get an order corrected. It would have cost you $12 to make the order right -- way less than a lifetime of our business. BYEEEEEE.

Jjs has the best gorditas in the El Paso area hands down. Place is very clean and service is prompt and fuss free. The flautas and menudo are also excellent and taste homemade.

the first time I tried their tamales. (The place that I usually purchase themfrom, had a very long line and don't want to wait). I ordered red and rajas. so to my disappointment 1. Tamales were small compared to popular tamales locations with good tamales for the same price2. Red was more Spicy than usual3. The worst were the "rajas" tamales. They were like nothing I have eaten in the 35 years I have been here. They have cooked onions and little cheese . not good flavor.
