I have to say not just because of I live a few minutes down the highway and it's convenient for an easy lunch or just to pick up some warm delicious bread in the morning . But this place is amazing ! The friendly , kind and considerate service I absolutely love . Everyone is just wonderful. I love the soft warm fresh conchitas, The chocolate donuts, bis Ochoa and don't get me started on the food!!!!!! The tortas . They are Amazing !!!!!!!!!!! They make these colita de Pavo it's turkey but I believe . Sounds funny but it's delicious and I highly recommend with fresh bread and avocado they are addicting . The carne asada tacos , Chile relleno plates everything on the menu my family has orders and everything has been a hit !! Menudo Sunday is the best . Humble place but 5 star food and huge portions ! So come take a drive on highway 478 and enjoy . Stay blessed everyone

You might not stop here unless you know what awaits inside. Probably the best New Mexican food we had on a recent visit to Las Cruces was served up in a friendly atmosphere. We had the smothered Chile rellenos and ground beef tacos each with beans and rice. Total Cost for the two meals was about $15. AND there's a bakery with a huge number of Mexican baked goods and pastries. We made an out of the way stop at Jiruh on our way make to the El Paso airport just to pick up a couple of bakery items. Ok, the place is not fancy, no linen table cloths, but the food, baked goods, and friendly staff make this a great stop in the Las Cruces area.

Be sure to go to this establishment. We were traveling through New Mexico and needed to eat, and I'm so glad I came across this beautiful family run bakery and restaurant. The moment you opened the door a warming sensation overwhelmed you as all you could smell were freshly baked goods ready for you to enjoy. The best pastries ever, so soft and fresh. The food selections were awesome too.

We were driving through Mesquite New Mexico and were starving. We saw this old nondescript building along the highway with several cars outside and an open sign so decided to stop. We ordered a couple plates of Mexican street style tacos. My husband got the deschebrada and I got the asada. Mine came on corn tortillas with grilled onions and his was on crispy corn shell with lettuce and cheese. Both came with atacado lime rice and beans. The salsa was a stewed green chili. This place is also a Mexican bakery and they had all sorts of Mexican pandulce. It was all very good and we will definitely stop in again. Glad we found this little locals joint.
