I brought my vehicle in to find out what the issue was. An inspection was done on the car. The mechanic claimed that the issue was the brake booster, then they came back and said it was the radiator cap and back brake. When the vehicle was picked up, they were asked if the car was suitable to drive a long distance and they stated that it should be. The warning light for the engine came on during the drive and the engine eventually died. This was not competent work. Had they properly inspected the vehicle and told me that the gasket was an issue, I would have made different arrangements and would not have driven it off the lot for such a long distance. In fact, I would've towed it. I left a message today inquiring about all of this and no one has returned my call. The car is now DAMAGEDabd I'm out $750!! I paid this establishment, $750 for nothing.

I am a Military spouse New to the area and my vehicle was overheating. Not only did they send me a full diagnostic analysis of what was going on, but it included pictures of the issue. As a female I feel like a lot of shops tend to take advantage and try to over sell you on things you don't need. Jays automotive was honest, the work exceeded my expectations, and the turn around was fast. I will continue to bring my vehicles here for all of my automotive needs. They even paid for an Uber to get me home. The level of customer service at this shop far exceeds anything I have ever experienced. Forever grateful for the entire team at Jay's!

I called ahead to inquire about services (oil change and coolant leak repair) and duration And was told if I brought it in within the hour they could have it done by the end of the day.I dropped by vehicle off at 10am and got a text update with a link to my vehicle's status and courtesy inspection status (which is pretty cool) around 2pm. However, the text stated "Hi Ryan, your vehicle is ready for pickup at Jay's Automotive! We couldn't find any coolant leak at this time." Even though my garage floor says otherwise. What I found out later, was that there was never a diagnostic conducted they simply checked the reservoir and said there is enough coolant in it.Their building is clean and the gentleman at the front was very courteous, but dropping my vehicle off and waiting four hours for an oil change and not even attempting to look at the other issue is problematic.*Update* Jay's reached out and asked for an opportunity make a better impression. I appreciate and can respect that. Thank you!

WORST EXPERIENCE. Live in Marfa (nearly 3 hours away). Called on a Monday to make a Thursday appoint. Drove out Wednesday night after work to make the 8 am time the guy gave me. Get here and my appt wasnt in system. Ok fine, hotel was literally down the street and a 15 min walk. Asked for a late check out at 1 pm just in case. Checked out and walked back and my car was barely being seen. Work began at around 1:40. Said that it'll take 2 hours. Lo and behold it's 4:26 and still not done. Had plans to run errands AFTER my car service expecting for it to have been done by noon the latest since I thought I had an appointment. Now I have a late start on errands and will be making a nearly 3 hour drive back LATE. I would've rated it a zero but Sam at the desk was nice. But no, who ever is answering the phone needs to actually make the damn appointments and not just say "come in at 8 am". Wasted money on a hotel and wasted my fucking day.

Honest, transparent, and good customer service. Sam is amazing and this shop gives suggestions for potential vehicle repairs in the future, and doesn't try and upsell you on items that do not need fixing. I would never take my vehicle anywhere else, period.

Had my car towed to Jay's after seeing the good reviews they had. They were all so friendly and helpful. Gave me and my son a ride to our hotel and it was only a short hour and a half or so later that I received a call about my car. They told me it was something that would be taken care of at the dealership so I needed to tow my car to the dealership and they didn't charge me the diagnostics fee. They also sent a "digital inspection" which showed all the areas they checked of the car, gave a little information and/or a photo - very nice touch. Anyone in this area needing a mechanic would be in good hands here.

Nice little shop. They offer free coffee and Wi-Fi while you wait. Friendly front desk service. They do state inspections as well.

Had a minor hiccup on my car's last service due to a defective rack and pinion which was an issue with the vendor and no fault of the folks at Jay's. Despite the fact that they were not at fault, Johnny arranged to have my car towed back to prevent any damage, footed the bill for my uber and threw in a complete vehicle detail! I've never had service like this from anyone else ever! My 10 year old car drives feels and looks brand like new! Jay's is the best bar none!I recommend Jay's to all my friends and family and will continue to do so.2007 Nissan Armada.

I had a clutch replaced here 30 years ago, and they are still around. That says something. Crappy shops dont last 30 years, but quality shops DO.

Got me in quickly when my AC went out and fixed the problem. It was a fair price and Edgar was really nice and helpful. My AC works better now than it did when I first got the car.
