Jackson's Deli

I finally found a winner of a meal.I stopped in at 3pm on a Monday. Mr. Jackson waited on me again and recognized me. We chatted a bit after he served me a full portion of curry chicken with fried rice. It was well spiced. The fried rice has no pork in it, which is how I prefer it.Other customers came in, but when he had time he told me about his two years in the US Army as a draftee from San Diego n the mid 1960s. He stayed here to open his business and has been cooking food ever since. "If I had retired from the army, I'd be over 100 years old now!" he said.He only shuts down when he travels for a week. He is a true gentleman and I'm glad we got to meet.

In Sierra Vista, Arizona there is a food staple. That staple is Jackson's Deli. This restaurant is one of the longest running restaurants, with the same owner for over 40 years! I have tried many items in the menu and never had a bad meal. Today, I'm having the chicken fried rice medium spice. It's so delicious!! The owner Jackson and his wife are super nice and always greet you when you enter! Their outstanding service and food are awesome! The restaurant looks like your typical deli style. Make sure you bring your appetite! CHEERS!!

We had chicken teriyaki and a turkey sandwich! All I can say is YUMMMMMMY! The food is great and the prices are fair. It's a mom & pop restaurant so it's a little cramped in the dining area and the place needs a coat of paint but the food is GREAT! I would recommend that you try it!!

I ordered orange chicken and beef broccoli with fried rice for $22, a bit pricey for Chinese food. NOT the typical Chinese food flavor I'm accustomed to back east or even anywhere. Orange chicken had an adobo taste, too salty, and again did not look or taste like orange chicken. The beef broccoli was also too salty and was overwhelmed with sesame oil or something similar because the after taste was unbearable.$11 for each meal, drinks not included. I'm willing to pay the price but the quality and taste must justify; in this case, fell short of expectation. Unfortunately, I will not frequent this place. CASH only, Credit card not accepted.

Not going to lie, the place seemed odd, a "deli" that also has Asian food and gyros? I was not sure what to expect when I walked in, based on prior reviews and pictures. I can say I was pleasantly surprised.I got the Mongolian beef, and despite its looks, it tasted great! I have yet to have a sandwich there, but I will be back for sure to try other things. It is clear that the beef itself was cooked ahead of time and microwaved, but the fried rice was good and the beer wasn't like rawhide. Overall I am going three stars, but only until I can try more food there, which I will.

Coworker and I went here for lunch today. We got there, immediately seen on the door it was CASH ONLY. Left went to grab cash. Came back, couple was very friendly. Menu was everywhere, and over priced. Food was not what we were expecting. My Friend got lomein and noodles were sticky. Sauce was thick, salty, and not good enough to get past a couple bites. Hers cost her $10 for noodles and can soda.I got the chicken cheesesteak, and the fries were good typical frozen, fried, fries. The cheesesteak was ok, definitely perfer Charleys just not what I was expecting. Mine was $15, sand which with fries and can soda.

Delightful Ruben sandwich. I requested Mr. Jackson to prepare it according to his personal preference. He certainly delivered a satisfying result.
