Great drinks excellent service .Taco Tuesday was great with the Rodeos on the TV nice place.

This is more of a 3.5. Was just in town for the night and not much food places in the area. They was clearly short staff so most to all the tables and bar seats were dirty so no busser seem to be there. You seat yourself and that's what we did. The server was friendly and did the best she could. I got a carne asada burrito. Now I will say prices are high compared to the Mexican restaurants back on the east coast and drinks were high too. They also charge for every little thing. I'm use to having beans and rice with almost every meal but it was extra to add that on. And also extra to add a sauce on top of my burrito(no sauce came on it) . The burrito was good though and the ambience was cute indoors. Just need to staff up more

Pretty standard Mexican place. Service was decent. They had a red chili beef chimichanga which seemed like the most on point southeast AZ thing dish there could possibly be, so that's what I had. It was pretty good and came with generous portions. The charro beans were a nice option as well.

Such a fabulous meal after a day at Apple Annie's! Everyone loved their food and enjoyed the salsa bar. Our waitress was fabulous Food takes a little while, but anything excellent is worth waiting for and this was really good food! And well priced ! Birria Tacos were probably the favorite of everyone! And what we will all order next time. The kids love their asada taco (although she wish there were two on the plate not just one) and the chicken burrito as well. I really enjoyed my Carne Asada chimichanga and my husband was OK with his enchilada plate, but he wished he had ordered something else. The kids plates came with rice and all of our plates came with rice and beans and the refried beans were creamy good. Good service, super friendly waitress, and excellent food. What more can you ask for?

First time visit. I got a carne asada burrito to go. The burritos here are expensive at $15.50 plus tax and tip. The size was very big. There was a lot of beef, however, 1/4 of it was gristle and inedible. I didn't enjoy having to spit out this gristle every bite or two! This is subpar for filling a burrito. I have had way better quality carne asada in burritos elsewhere. The meat and rice were also greasy. I wish there had been some beans in the burrito. It was just rice and beef and a bit of tomato, onion and cilantro. Service was good and the ambiance of the restaurant was good.

Delicious authentic Mexican food. Carne asada was very good and made just like I like it. Chips and salsa for starters was excellent.

Go here! Awesome, real deal Mexican food, great salsa, and chips, and they have a salsa and hot peppers. Alcohol too.! Found on yelp glad I stopped.

Three friends and I found ourselves near Willcox after a few days of backpacking and we were hungry. Lucky for me, two of them were from out of state and were craving Mexican food. After checking the menu and the great reviews, we made our way over to Isabel's.We were welcomed and seated right away. The interior is very clean and nicely decorated, but not over the top colorful. The sugar skull mural on the wall is awesome!It was mid-afternoon on a Tuesday so it wasn't super busy. When the warm chips and salsa arrived they were quickly devoured. And there are more options available at the salsa bar in the back of the dining room. It took a little longer than anticipated for the food to arrive, but it was worth the wait.I chose the Red Chile Plate and it was solid. The rice is way above average, the refried beans had a chunkiness I like, the beef was tender and the tortillas were amazing! I challenge you to find tortillas this thin in any other Mexican restaurant! Let me know if you do.My entree was a generous portion, and the price was very reasonable. Isabel's is proof that the quality of Mexican food increases proportionally the closer you are to the border.The next time you're passing through southeastern Arizona and you're looking for a great restaurant, Isabel's South of the Border is worth your time and money.

Visiting Wilcox to do some wine tasting and wanted to grab some lunch. One of the wineries suggested Isabels and it was an excellent choice!! We sat ourselves and were promptly greeted by our server with a basket of chips and salsa. The chips are light and salty, just right, and the salsa had a good amount of heat without being overpowering. They currently only have a liquor license for beer and wine. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and my husband had the chili rellanos. Both were delicious!! You get 3 tacos filled with plenty of shrimp. I ordered the beans which have a little bacon instead of the refried beans, they were bursting with flavor. The chili rellano was perfectly cooked and well stuffed with cheese. My husband said it was the best rellano he's ever had. They also have a salsa bar with a variety of salsas and pickled veggies. The decor is charming Mexican. A definite must if you're in Willcox!

My son and I shared chicken Fajitas for lunch. Huge portions, salsa bar. Great lunch!!! Highly recommend eating here!
