Awesome gym with great pricing and no annual commitments like most gyms. I visit El Paso from out of town so it's nice to get a week pass for $20 and keep up with my fitness goals. The staff is awesome and the atmosphere was great. It's a perfect size and has everything you need from cardio, weight machines, free weights and all sorts of resistant equipment. I have only been here once but my experience was very positive. I haven't tried the smoothie/shake station but I like that it's there in addition to massage therapy, tanning, and sauna. The gym plays loud music so it can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on your music preferences. Most of the patrons seemed to have decent gym etiquette (wiping down equipment, reracking weights) so that was a nice change from other gyms I've been to. Overall, I recommend this gym to anyone and especially those who are in town for a short amount of time and don't want to lose track.

Unlike other gyms iron grind isn't your typical "corporate owned" gym, it has a different flavor to it, The atmosphere is unreal. Once you walk in through those doors you get a feeling to ignore what's going on in the outside world and get ready for serious weightlifting business, the outside area gives me a nostalgic feeling and it's nice to have that option of training outside at current temperature. Only misses one star since I wish this place was bigger :(

They offered me a 15$ a week membership Which was an excellent amount compared to plantet fitness (20$ a day). Im in town for 10 days. This worked perfectly. They had all the equipment I needed and some in the back. It is a tiny bit small compared to what Im used to but I kind of liked it. EVERYONE was super friendly. That was a nice surprise. It wasnt packed at all but there was a good amount of people. I was there at 7 am and left at 9. I didnt have to wait on any equipment, that's always a plus. Power racks, smith machines, benches, cables, free weights, machines and an outside area for some olympic moves. This place had Everything I needed and was convenient and close to where I was visiting.

I would like to start off by saying to be aware of their memberships. The very first day we convened with them they said it was not a contract and you can cancel at anytime without consequence. Within turned out to be fake as when it came to cancelling our member ship, we were charged a cancellation fee as so were many others. Now the gym itself lacks space, respect, and creativity. The gym is a very tight area which makes it a nuisance during those peak hours. It doesn't help that the "trainers" there don't have respect for others as they seem to "train" 5-10 individuals at a time taking up most of the gyms equipment. Also the male bathroom only has one toilet which makes it a problem of more than 1 need to utilize. Within their creativity area, it seems to lack organization within the equipment and accessories as there is too much unnecessary items within such a secluded place. If you're looking for a gym that has top notch equipment, respect for others, honest policies, and an abundance of space. I highly recommend taking a look at Powerhouse Gym.

Iron Grind, a family-owned gym that strives to keep improving and adapting for their customers. The staff is friendly and more than happy to assist you in any questions along your fitness journey. If you like the golden days of body building than this will fit you perfect, with some of the most iconic old school equipment as well as modern ones. No matter what you're here for, powerlifting, body building or its simply your escape from the day-to-day world, this gym will meet and exceed your expectations. I recently moved to El Paso and was searching for a training facility. I was reached out to by a Steven Alexander , who is a trainer at Irongrind True Fitness. He invited me to their location to workout and determine if the gym is a fit for me. Let me first indicate the I competed in powerlifting and made the world team and won senior nationals in 1996. I also competed in the Ifbb. That being said , I went on Sunday the individual at the front allowed me access for a day pass . I was asked to download app to obtain my information. I began to train ten minutes into my training, the front desk associate approach me and stated I must pay $20 dollars for the day! Look on their social media they clearly offer day pass for guest whom never have visited their gym. So I'm confused? I'm an African American 50 year old male who has worked several years as a correctional officer. The only guess is their gym does not want or like Black American males in their gym . So please if you are a Black male steer clear from this Gym.

At first, I thought Iron Grind was a good gym, but man was I wrong. I've been a member for 5 days so far after signing up with Luis at the front desk and I was under the impression that I did not have a contract, I was on a month to month basis and I could cancel any time I wanted as long as I let the gym know 30 days in advance. Cool, everything was set and I had my gym membership. I was not fully comfortable in the gym since it was smaller with older looking equipment and there was only one cleaning station with towels and spray bottles, which was highly inconvenient, especially at a place where so many germs are present. I ended up finding a much better deal for a bigger gym with much newer equipment and more ammenities for a better monthly price, so I decided I would cancel my membership at IronGrind since I didn't have any contract. I tried to go in person and the same person who signed me up, Luis, happened to be working at the front desk again. I let him know that I wanted to cancel out my membership and he didn't even ask any questions or anything and just stated he was not the manager and couldn't cancel out my membership at all, he let me know I would need to send an email to the email on my membership app providing account information to easily look up my account and it would be cancelled out by the manager in the morning. Fast forward to a little later, not even an hour after sending the cancellation email, and I received an email for a receipt from IronGrind, with a brand new charge for the monthly membership price and a comment stating it was a cancellation fee for no 30 days notice. Keep in mind this was just a receipt, no mention of a membership cancellation, no membership cancellation agreement document, or even a cancellation number was provided. I was never informed of a cancellation fee both when I signed up or when I went in person to try and cancel out. This is definitely some shady business practices and I am ready to dispute this with my bank and file a complaint with the BBB and any other avenues I can take to file a complaint against them. This is absolutely criminal and borderline theft since I was never informed of such a charge, I would highly advise against getting a membership here, you're much better off taking advantage of a Black Friday deal with Chuze Fitness or Gold's Gym with $1 down and lower monthly dues than IronGrind, not to mention more ammenities, more space, and friendlier staff. DO NOT give your money to IronGrind, it is NOT worth it and you can get a much more fulfilling and better membership elsewhere.

I love the Iron Grind Gym. I've only been going for about a week but in that time I've gotten an outstanding trainer and some excellent workouts! That said, I do have a few issues I think can be addressed. 1) Mark all the dumbbells with their weight. I get that the sticker falls off and the equipment is used but a paint marker on the ends of the dumbbells would really help fix the confusion. 2) CYCLE OUT THE HIP HOP/ RAP. Every time I've gone in, they have had hip hop and/ or rap blasting from the overhead speakers. Others have their opinions of the music and I'm fine with it being on a cycle of every other day or so but every day is just ridiculous because if I by chance forget my headphones, it means I have a 100% chance of having to listen to it versus a 50% if rock/ metal were played on alternating days. 3) Lastly, I think the protein shakes are a little overpriced. Customized shakes are good but if I can get muscle milk or something at the grocery store for $3.50, I should be able to get one at the gym for a comparable price (with perhaps .50 cents to .75 cent inflation). That said, I love the gym and I can't wait for my next workout!
