I am writing this review as someone who actually attended this school (not parents in the other reviews who really don't know what it was like to attend) from 2nd grade until 7th grade! In my recommendation this school is good until 3rd grade. Once you finish 3rd grade, you kind of start falling behind. In 7th grade when I left and went to Hornedo Middle School, I was very, VERY behind. I completely failed my math and science test because we were 3 years behind on the math that Hornedo was doing. Luckily I caught up right before high school began thanks to Hornedo. I definitely feel like I had a disadvantage due to that. They also do not have a good variety of sports teams. The one thing I can say that is good, is that since it's a small school, everyone knows everyone and you do get more time with your teacher. The last thing that I do not like and why I don't recommend the school is because teachers do not have to have a degree in teaching to be able to teach there. I know of a few teachers there that do not have a degree in the recommended areas. That always blew my mind as, how can someone teach if they didn't go to school for it? I know I am not the only one to feel this way as many of my ex classmates who graduated high school there were very behind going into college. So, attend at your own risk. I wanted to add, they do focus heavily on reading and writing which was great, as I am a very strong reader and writer and have always been above my classmates even in public school but that's no help when many degrees in college revolve around science and math (where Immanuel lacks in teaching) just like my nursing degree that I am working on obtaining now.

Caring, honest, sincere, quality, safe, passionate, Biblically focused education. We have felt so welcome at this school. The Principal knows everyone's name and greets all the children in the hall with true interest and is fully involved. The teachers are smart and compassionate. My children have gotten in trouble a few times but the punishments are reasonable. They let you know what us going on and we get lots of updates by text, email and app. It's not a giant school and not a tiny school. The class size is about 13 which is perfect. We love this school.

My daughter attended school there for two years. That's all we could take. The favoritism to the leaders' children of the school and church made us sick to it stomachs. And not only them, they cater to the Mexican population because without their dollars there wouldn't be a school. The leadership is a joke. I wish I would have chosen Loretto for my daughter. I'm not Catholic but Immanuel is not a Christian school.

We have attended some of the church sermons, they were always good. We have used the daycare they were always good. We wanted to send our kids to a Christian school because we thought they would be better academically and we did not like the way public schools kept God out of the classroom. We came to realize two kids, seven years, and tens of thousands of dollars later that this school was a mistake, I can say we were ultimately not happy with this school for many reasons. If your children are in junior high or high school I would personally recommend looking elsewhere.

I went to this church while living in El Paso. A great pastor and great church family. I don't know a terrible lot about the school itself but from all that I've heard from the church and people that go to just the school itself, it is great. A lot of 1 on 1, which is rare these days in a regular school system. I have also seen a lot of banners in the gymnasium. Come by sometime and I'm sure they will give you a warm welcome as they did with my my family.

My three children have been at Immanuel Christian School for a total of eight years. It is a great school both academically and spiritually. The quality of teachers far exceed my expectations. I feel that they truly care about the whole child, not just grades and behavior. We are a faithful Catholic family and yet decided that Immanuel Christian School was the best choice for our children over Catholic private schools in the area because of low teacher-student ratios, low teacher turnover rates, and high academic standards. They also receive bible instruction at school, which when coupled with our Catholic teachings, makes for a strong individual to attain success in life. My older children eventually moved on to Eastwood High School and have done tremendously well, easily handling public school's AP coursework and scoring well on SAT and ACT tests. STAAR tests were easy for them as they had taken annual National Terra Nova tests at Immanuel. (But, teachers DO NOT teach to the test) At Eastwood's school registration, counselors and teachers always said to me, "OMG, we LOVE students from Immanuel."Immanuel Christian School provides an excellent foundation with rigorous academic standards yet offers understanding and compassion with regards to life issues such as sick days and family time. I highly recommend Immanuel Christian School for elementary and middle school. Andrea , El Paso, TX

Immanuel Christian School is a phenomenal private! The environment at Immanuel is very warm and loving. The teachers go over and beyond to help their students exceed academically and grow in their walk with God. The curriculum is biblically infused, yet very rigorous. The environment is very structured and this allows students to learn personal responsibility and self control at a very young age. I love the student to teacher ratios in each grade level. My child is learning in a smaller classroom, so there is more one on one attention. I could not have chosen a better school for my child.

What a FANTASTIC SCHOOL ! The teachers and administrators are very dedicated to ICS and love the students. The quality of education is top notch--the kids will definitely be prepared to take the next step and go to college. The environment is SAFE and STRUCTURED. Children learn about rules, regulations and personal responsibility-- concepts that will help them be successful throughout life. I especially like the wholesome, patriotic, christian environment-- I don't have to worry about gangs, drugs and the other negatives associated with public schools these days. Come and check out ICS ! I love this place ! The premiere private school in El Paso, IMHO !!
