If you've ever visited a shop or restaurant touting stellar service and utmost professionalism, and later realize that your experience was everything but those characteristics, then welcome to the preview of coming attractions of having ITO facilitate your move.Relocated from El Paso to the Northwest. During pack out, everything was removed from any containers and repacked into boxes, this was done without any sense of organization, liquid cleaning products in with foodstuffs and family photos (now ruined) electronics and clothes with the kitchenware. Items are packed haphazardly, as if a six year old was given a roll of box tape and scissors and left alone with a stack of cardboard for a couple hours. My cheap target suitcase was carefully taped and wrapped in bubble wrap (3 layers thick requiring the jaws of life to remove) while my 40 inch LED tv was put in a custom cut thin cardboard box with a wad of paper on each side.Plan on buying new furniture and heavily insuring your move because if your move is anything like my experience, your box spring will be collapsed, bed frame repeatedly slammed onto the back of a flatbed truck that's too small for all your belongings until the runner boards are scratched to hell and the finishes ruined and snap off at the ends. Pretty much every peice of furniture arrived with new marring/cuts or excessive damage to the structure of these pieces. I'd like to personally thank Thomas for reassuring me prior to the move that he "wasn't sure what companies you moved with before but we are extremely professional and you have nothing to worry about." As well as a special thanks to Carlos and the wonder-bunch for not only taking almost an entire day to pack up a one bedroom apartment that was laid out like a military inspection, but for his diligent non-existent oversight into the safe packing and handling of all my stuff. Suck it ITO.

Our son and his wife moved from Germany to Northwest of USA and shipped 4 cubic meters of their belongings using ITO. To stay factual, I will just list pros and cons of the move.Pros:- Price was low- Klaus was always very polite when we contacted him.- ITO used a local company to deliver the shipment the last 6 miles. They were very good; on time, polite, strong, organized.- Nothing was damaged.Cons:- Shipment arrived 4 months later, instead of estimated 2 months.- ITO's responses to our inquiries about the status of the shipment were slow and often "I will check into it" or "don't know what happened". For example they attempted delivering and ended going back to Seattle with the shipment. My understanding was that the large truck did not want to take the liability of delivering into a private neighborhood???! They marked the shipment as "Delivered" and nothing happened until we started following up. We did not even know that they attempted delivering. After it arrived to USA, we knew that it cleared customs (had to pay the fee), but where it was, nobody seemed to know. - Both of us work, so we wasted 4 vacation days and canceled several trips due to the potential arrival of the shipment.- email was a slow way to communicate with them. Calling was the best way.To summarize, the biggest thing was the uncertainty and lack of updates from ITO which had a large affect on our lives. Our son and his wife ended up renting all their camping gear for their wilderness trip because their equipment was in this shipment which was supposed to arrive in 2 months. They allowed 3 months for the shipment to get here before their trip.Mirja W.
