Hungry Kepuha

My husband has lived in Guam and has relatives that are amazing at cooking Guamanian/Chamorro food. I've learned how to cook some basic staple dishes, we were so excited to stumble upon this food truck at a roundup. The owner was super friendly and our order came up pretty fast. He was sold out of the chicken dishes which was fine cause we got to try this beef with string bean dish cooked in coconut milk which was excellent! I've never had that before, delicious. My husband had the pork ribs which were so tender and brings back memories especially with the finadene sauce! It was a cool round up - plenty of parking and a beautiful night to picnic at the park. We will be back for red rice and kelaguen!

I have never really been exposed to the culture of Guam or Chamoru food, so I didn't know what to expect. I took a look at the menu and had a tough time deciding, but ultimately ordering the pork spare ribs plate. The meal was simple, about 6 ribs, rice and sauce. I tasted the sauce, but I couldn't place the ingredients, it tasted like a soy/worcestershire mixture. It wasn't too salty, but it did add a nice tanginess to the rice and ribs.When I saw the ribs, I was thinking they were going to be dry and chewy. I was very wrong. Although the ribs were not juicy, they were almost fall off the bone tender and were seasoned really well. The seasoning on the ribs didn't really require the sauce at all, but if you don't care to eat plain rice, the sauce will do it for you, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt the ribs could be good competition for our local rib joints.

We had never tried food from Guam before and wasn't sure what to order so we got three different plates. We tried the Kephua, Coconut and Chamoru chicken. They were all soooooo good! Definitely impressed with the all flavors, the temperature was perfect and the service was great. He was very patient with us as we tried to figure out what to order and he explained the ingredients well. Will definitely eat here again!

Had the opportunity to try the coconut chicken with rice. Lots of great flavor in the chicken (all dark meat) and sauce. Generous portion which allowed me to finish it up the next day. I wish it had come with a vegetable or another side but great meal at a food truck round up.

I'm curious if kepuha translates to bug because they were crawling in and around his food trailer and he didn't seem to mind when I told him. I regret not getting a picture. Hard pass on the bug entrées.

AMAZING!! My first time trying Chamorro food and it was so good. My friend who grew up on Guam also said that it tasted authentic and delicious. The owner was so great and I'm looking forward to going back!

This food truck was parked at my college. I got the sausage plate and it was only $7 and was delicious!! The service was incredibly fast and I really hope this food truck returns to Pima :)

Hungry Kepuha always comes to Encantada Twin peaks and it's by far one of the best food trucks I've ever tried. The guy that owns the truck too is super friendly and chill. I would eat here every week if I could.

Great tasting food! We ordered the chamoru chicken and the coconut chicken and it was delicious!
