Humo Cigar Lounge & Barberia

We have been to Vitolas downtown and enjoy the hospitality while enjoying drinks and cigars but wanted to try this one since we were having dinner nearby later. The cigar selection is fair. The humidor is about 1/4 full but our aficionados found good cigars to enjoy. There was one girl working alone for awhile and she did good in spite of having to make drinks, sell cigars and serve. A second girl arrived later and the first girl sat down at the bar with a customer so we assumed she was off but when we went to the bar for a second round she got up so maybe just taking a break. Good drinks, cold beer.

This place is no longer in business, permanently closed. I was open in December 2022. I returned in August 2023 and the place is gone.

I flew in from Denver, CO to visit my parents in El Paso. Finding a cigar lounge was one of priorities, I stopped by where I peeked-it was empty and didn't see any staff. I didn't pull the door as I thought it was closed so I left, but once I saw that the lounge is supposed to be open, I returned. I entered and realized that I was the only customer. I don't like small talk so I kept to myself, but bartenders were friendly. I decided to return for the second time on Saturday night, the place was more interesting with more customers around and three outgoing bartenders. One of the three bartender, Max or Mark, talked with me and was very attentive by serving my drinks. He also recommended a cigar so I bought two cigars. For entertainment, I like to spend money on movie theaters, quality restaurants, and cigars so I stayed stayed about 3 hours here while talking to the bartender. I got to meet the owner for whose name I can't remember, but for some reason I think it was Vicente. I was surprisedly pleasant and really enjoyed this place the second time that I was determined to return for my 3rd visit before flying back to Denver. I realized this place was closed on Monday and I flew out on Tuesday. When I'm back visiting, I'll invite some of my old friends over here!

Even though this place is pretty nice, the service isn't good, beer ran out, the tv is stuck in a Humana commercial and the bartender isn't friendly and just watching her phone. I get it that I'm the only one here, but to me that isn't service. I wish I wouldn't have lit my cigar and walked out, but wanted to give it a shot.

If your looking for nice, "laid-back" spot to have a few sticks and some great drinks along with awesome service....Look no further, you have arrived. Great owner and great staff. Highly recommend you check it out
