Great hotel. Stayed one night, but it was very comfortable, clean, quiet.Wife n I got a laugh out of the earplugs by the bedside for people who aren't used to hearing the occasional train, but while the intersection is like kinda basically on the same block, it's a big nothingburger. Heard it only once and it's quieter than one in our hometown. But, the earplugs were a nice gesture. The hotel has an aesthetic that fits right into Marfa, minimalism, nice art all about, more geometric forms than you can shake a stick at!We didn't get to use the pool 'cuz we forgot our suits, but we went to check it out and it was fantastic, we'll make sure to pack them next time! The pool's large, pretty decor with a bar and hottub, areas for shade, areas for sun. Very nice.Highly recommended all 'round.

A beautiful place to stay in. The rooms were spacious and always tidy. The staff is very friendly and helps you pick out delicious meals in the restaurant downstairs. It's worth a stay, for sure!

New, modern, open space in lobby. Loud, much louder than a hotel lobby should be. We could not hear each other talk in the restaurant off the lobby. Rooms are modern, stylish, well designed. Plenty of room to unpack. Lighting is nicely done, too. Staff is friendly, although not always at the desk. Could be warmer, but proficient. Cute selection of out of the ordinary items, fashion, gifts in the shop. Excellent pool across the street, which belongs to the hotel. Definitely adds an upscale experience to the trip, and the water is a nice respite from the desert sun. Fast wi-fi that works, which we did not have when staying at another large hotel in area.

I stayed here for about 10 days in 2018. Nice location, but you have VERY few food options (head to Marfa Burrito for lunch). The staff was mehhh, but the worst folks were housekeeping. They LITERALLY picked towels up from the bathroom floor and hung them again (I put dirty towels in a neat pile on the floor). I know they did this because I could see my makeup traces on them. The next day, I placed the dirty towels in the shower and put water on them... only then did I get fresh towels. People said the train bothered them, but it did not bother me. Food is over-priced, but good.

Beyond a doubt the rudest, most inconsiderate staff I've ever experienced ( and I've lived in Paris). It was a quiet Thursday in September and I was the only person in the lobby and the receptionist didn't look up from his computer while leaning on the counter until I politely asked if he was going to help me. Then he proceeded to mumble at me until another receptionist took over. It was 1:45 pm and she told me that my room wasn't ready. Fair enough but a little odd considering I was also the ONLY car parked directly in front of the hotel. I asked her for a couple of things to do while I wait and she sneered " there is a visitor center down the street". I said I was just looking for maybe a place to eat and was hoping a $350 hotel could recommend something. She mumbled two places that I could not decipher and I wasn't going to ask again, I got the point. Still I had my backpack so I asked if I could store it. She looked right at me and walked away. I then took my bag to my car and drove out of town, not sure if I would return (never travel alone to any unwelcoming off the beaten path place for safety reasons) or just enjoy another hour or two of open Texas driving. By 4:30 pm I realized they were teaching me a lesson so to speak so I booked another hotel off the side of the road. Here is the vengeful part, they called me at 11:30 pm, yes, 11:30 pm. I've been around the world and No hotel anywhere has treated me with such disdain and for no apparent reason, especially when they were completely empty at my time of arrival. Shameful.

Love the rooms, the art, the food, the drinks, and the staff! It is my favorite place to stay in Marfa, and one of the most consistent, delicious restaurants and bars. It's a welcoming space with a warm vibe radiating from locals and guests. Stop in for a meal or a cocktail - and stay for the night!

Overall: Not worth the money. I don't recommend. Fancy dressings (bath products, linens, etc), but poor fundamentals (room quality - bathroom fixture was held together with tape - and service)I was excited to stay here given the hotel's history, the minimalist aesthetic (in line with Marfa's art history), and the promise of a luxurious stay. I left feeling like I had paid much too much for the experience I received. The rooms look nice, and some of the touches (Aesop products, beautiful towels) are fantastic. But other parts of the rooms/hotel feel too cheap to command $400/night. The heavy room doors don't close softly, so you constantly hear doors slamming throughout the night as people come and go. The walls and ceilings are thin. And our toilet paper roll holder was held together with duct tape. The service was lacking, too. It felt very amateur for the price/luxury they are trying to project. People at the front desk didn't greet us. No one asked us how our stay was, even when we checked out. They seemed more interested in chatting to each other or eating at the desk than they did interacting with guests.

Corina, was the rudest manager I have ever encountered. I was shocked at how she treated me and other guests in the bar area to watch the Texas/OU game. I manage a restaurant and would never treat my guests the way she treated the people just trying to watch a football game.
