I stayed here on December 16th, 2023, through December 17th. This hotel had an acienda-type feel to it and was decorated with cool Zia symbol designs--a couple water fountains and other Native American type of art on the walls and book shelves. It has a nice restaurant downstairs with numerous nice-looking plants around, making it an uncharted type of vibe. There is also a store selling NM souvenirs. I liked the room except for the fact there is no microwave in the room, but why do you need a microwave in the room if there are so many delicious green chili food restaurants around!

I've always wanted to stay at this hotel. Rooms are reasonable, beds were comfortable, elevator fast, and the decor is beautiful. With the palm trees and everything, almost made it seem like an exotic location. Only downside is the restaurant was closed for dinner and the bar closed early. The breakfast, however, was delicious (a little pricey but with friendly service) - French toast with bacon and a regular bacon and egg breakfast with tortillas and papas. We were also at the hotel the previous night for a private party out on the patio. 2024 #40

Our family stayed at Hotel Encanto for one night. The pool is exceptional. The rooms are clean but a bit outdated. Excellent customer service and reasonably priced. Gorgeous property with great views.

Hotel Encanto's shining feature is its beautiful patio and pool area. The palm-lined fountain is the ultimate selfie-stop, and the pool and adjoining lounging areas are nicely recessed into the landscape, down a small set of stairs, which keeps noise to a minimum for guests with nearby pool suites. It's a little inconvenient that the hotel restaurants are closed for dinner on Sunday (with the cantina also closed for lunch on Monday), but service was friendly and fast at the front desk and throughout the property. A bit more care could be taken in cleaning the furnishings on the room patios. We had quite a bit of dust to wipe off the chairs, and we pointed a groundskeeper to the dead dove atop our suite's pergola, but generally it was a spacious area to relax and enjoy the sunset, with much better privacy than I'd expected (easy access to the entire pool grounds but little foot traffic or noise right off the room itself). A lovely stop, overall, if you're in Las Cruces!

Was placed in a room where I found a pubic hair lying on top of the toilet seat, so obviously room was not cleaned properly. Moved to a second room where the shower liner was missing, pillow case was dirty, and ants were everywhere. Room service was cold both times we ordered and food was bland.

I can see where the reviews are mixed, given we all have different thresholds. For us, it was a GREAT stay. We stayed 2 nights for a family event in town. We come to Las Cruces regularly and have probably stayed at most of the hotels around town - newer to older.Hotel Encanto has a lot of personality. The property is really pretty, the lobby gorgeous with an old world feel to it and lovely Saltillo tile throughout. Yes, the guest room area feels older to some degree and there could be some updating done but our King Terrace room was very nice, comfortable, clean with great sleep quality. I loved being able to sit out on our little patio and drink coffee and stare into the courtyard. The front desk staff, along with any staff that we encountered were genuinely friendly, warm and welcoming. We had a little issue in the room, and maintenance came quickly and took care of it. I visited the cute gift shop that had lots of handmade items from the area and the shopkeeper was very nice and helpful. My only call out was one morning we saw this lady holding the lower pool area gate open and letting (what was clearly local family/friends) non guests in to use the pool. We did not use the pool as we had found it super crowded, maybe because folks are sneaking people in?

We live in Silver City and come to Cruces often. Have stayed at several hotels in the area. This is by far the best hotel in town. Exceptional service, clean rooms and a traditional New Mexican vibe. We ate dinner at Mezcla, the in-house restaurant which was fabulous. The only complaint is there is no spa (it shut during Covid so take it off the website).

Location great; breakfast at Cantina (out of this world tasty and amazing) But the hotel common areas, entrance xeriscape, and rooms need serious upkeep and TLC.

For the price of a somewhat aged multistory hotel it is a good deal. The rooms are spacious decorated in an old Spanish style of large furniture, the room views of the desert are an added bonus if you take an upper floor. The lobby art and decor is a fun something to see.I would definitely stay here upon a future visit! We were here on a very low time of the year, so the restaurants weren't bustling. The food was good, but nothing special stood out. All I can say is the people of New Mexico like their spicy food, holy cow ! I'll stick to jalapeños!

We made reservations at this location through Hotels.com. Driving from CA to TX, we stopped at this location for the night. It was an 11 hour drive we arrived and were greeted by a couple bell boys at the front door. They were very friendly and we had a good conversation about weather and other misc information. Even though I did not use their assistance, they were very kind an respectful. I checked in and the young lady at the front desk was kind and helpful with local restaurants. The following day we had another 11 hour drive to get to east TX. We woke up at 3 AM to get ready and there was no hot water for the shower. I took a cold shower and went down to tell the manager. He was barely staying awake (understandable) and I told him my circumstance and the lack of hot water. He offered me another room to shower, and I told him we didn't have time because of our long drive ahead of us. I told him we had reservations set up to stay here on our way back to CA in two weeks and this was not wanting us to stay again. He just said he was sorry and would let the maintenance crew know what was going on in the room. He did not offer anything else, knowing we were returning in two weeks, and I feel this lacks care for visitors. Besides offering another room to shower, there was no other attempt to compensate for the inconvenience. If it wasn't for the young lady that checked us in and the bell boys at the front door, I would have given this review a 1. The room was facing the major intersection and it the room was very loud from the cars.
