Hot Damn Chiles

We've been buying their salsa for a few years. We stop there on our road trip going east, coming back from the east, and when we pick up Hatch chilis in late August. I buy enough, each time, for friends who also love the salsa. I wish they had a web site so I could order the salsa year round.The mildest they have is "medium" and it barely has a bite. The salsa with the black dot on top is only for the very brave who like it very, very hot. Always, good flavor in all the heat levels.You won't go wrong buying product from this little store.

This little place in Hatch which we all know that chili can be found just about any where in that little town. But, "Hot Damm Chili" just seemed be more of a home welcoming place. The gentleman that help us was nice and friendly and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend taking a jar ( or two) of his salsa along with a a bag or two of roasted chili.

At the time of this review, green Hatch chilies were a few weeks away from harvest. However, he had frozen ones and only had medium hot left. Has also green and red powder from the chilies as well as a variety of other products available. He's a down to earth kind of guy. Reasonable prices, $5 for the green chili powder (in a quart size zip lock) and $12 for 5 lbs of frozen green Hatch chilies.Like I said, he's down to earth and will tell you like it is and not some sales pitch.5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Great products, friendly honest local service. Buy your chile here. Bought 120 lbs last month and all of it has been super flavorful. The red powdered chile is great too. Oscar is very nice and really helpful.

My favorite place for chili the best in Hatch N. M. Has the XXX hot chili homemade salsa, powder garlic and chili red or green etc. Family business awesome family, Oscar and my husband would say jokes all the times, being going there for more then 25 years.

Everyone knows, Hatch is the place for green chiles.... And it's the season for harvest! Take a littleDay trip before the big festival on Labor Day and go grab a 40lb bag of fresh chiles for $25( although we talked them down to $20). We stopped at several places and by far they had the freshest that day. They willRoast them for you, but we opted to bring them home and do it so we could get them in the freezer to enjoy all year. This place is great and a local hatch business!

Got 60 lbs a couple of years ago from Oscar, who was very friendly and took care of us while we were there. I'm going before the festival to get only 30 pounds of extra extra extra hot chili from Oscar. We love his little store that he has there see you soon Oscar

My husband and I were just there Aug 22 we bought a red Chile and frozen green and omg the delicious home made salsa regret not buying more to bring back to California Osacar and Giovanni were so nice and helpful my mom got one jar of the salsa and I kept one we love it . And I gave my family some of the red Chile . My uncle from El paso recommended this great place .Thanks you so much until next trip for more Delicious Hatch Chile will see you then .

Great service the best chili in Hatch in Las Cruces can buy it peeled and bagged at a great price to they have a variety that is medium hot and as flashy and thick as big Jim

Great place for all chile products fair price excellent long green chile. Home made salsa's are superb! Highly recommend!
