Hope and Anchor

Looks a bit sketchy from the outside, but inside is really nice. It wasn't crowded when I was there but I head on weekends it's the opposite.They're good for large groups (with reservations) as well.

One of my native El Paso friends would always talk about how much she loved this place, so of course we had to stop in for a drink. They have an assortment of amazing sounding drinks that..... Are only available early in the day. Whomp whomp. That was a bummer. So we just had standard vodka sodas. The aesthetic is fun and the vibe was welcoming. It was a fun quick stop.

Words cannot express how much I love Hope and Anchor and the amazing service they give our community! They also have an amazing ambiance that makes everyone feel welcome and a part of the Hope and Anchor family. The restaurant next door (Sabor Tooth) also has some amazing food that just works perfectly with the drinks at Hope and Anchor. I take all my out of town guests and friends to Hope and Anchor and they always want to go back!

Good beer and great spirits! Service is always good the food is from next door and is amazing, ambiance is ok!

I came and grabbed a beer and then ordered from Sabertooth's next door. Got the fish tacos, they're outstanding. The atmosphere of this place is pretty cool though inside can be really dark. There's an outside area but was a bit chilly that night so I didn't sit outside though I wanted to. Gotta come back in warmer weather.

Over and over again I have been impressed with the food and drinks here in El Paso. Who would have thought that this corner of Texas would have such wonderful hipster/foodie tastes. I think that is partially me and my biases and I need to really open my eyes but I am grateful for this opportunity to have my mind changed. We were here for work and we took some advice from locals about the best eats and hang out places in the area. Some of them I found on my own but Hope and Anchor was a recommendation. I am glad I took them up on their advice! After work, we drove by UTEP and were a little surprised that Hope and Anchor was hard to find. They call themselves "an epic patio bar." It's cool that they also share the same space with Sabertooth which is where you can get your food. You can grab a couple of menus. Order your drinks at the bar and then the server will be out to get your food order.Loved the ambience... a laissez faire, whatever goes kinda vibe. People started getting here later in the evening (typical college town) by the time we were done and tired. Glad we were able to spend a few quiet moments. There are some booths, bar seats and then some patio seating although the outside is a little cold at this time of year. Drinks here are pretty awesome and I loved their tequilas/mezcal choices. Had myself a mango chili tequila which I have to say was awesome even though I'm not a huge fan of tequila! This is a fun chill place to hang out. If you haven't been you're missing out!

*this 4 star review is temporary *I attended a puppy shower here recently. We sat on the very comfy back patio and had a great time celebrating my rescue puppy's adoption with his forever mom. The service was good even though we had to go to the bar and get our own drinks, the servers were attentive to the group overall. We did not have time to eat but we will be back soon to look for that 5th star!

I'm on vacation from Florida and this was an amazing bar with great drinks and prices. I love the quirky decor and the bartender Nathan is so amazing and gave us GREAT advice for places to visit and the BEST food. The buffalo wings from the restaurant next door (which serves the bar too, ask your bartender for a menu) the wings smelled so good I got up and asked the table next to me what they were eating. Amazing drinks and food

Well, first of all the place is dark and dirty. No one at the door and the people behind the bar ignored us...No menus, no nothing. We eventually went to the bar and ordered a drink that was on the online menu. Bartender couldnt remember how to make it. Eventually told me he could make it, but came back and said he was missing 3 of the ingredients. Wth? The food comes from the place next door. We have been here about 45 minutes and no one has been in to take an order from us...or anyone. I dont get the good reviews?? Cant comment on the food because we were not offered any.

Classic 2000s era elevated dive. Great patio and Music. Will come back. The bartender was extremely nice and accommodating.
