This is a family-friendly site!
Yours truly about to enter the chlorinated waters
Showing off the FANTASTIC grab bars in the male changing room; undoubtedly, the same is available on the female changing room.
Both my most favorite #1 wife and most favorite #1 daughter have criticized me for NOT using bona fide hair shampoo/conditioner, BUT...!
Yours truly with lifeguard/college student Karen
My energy/fuel that will help me to cycle home from swimming
Soon I'll be swimming laos in the chlorinated water
Excellent source of energy, regardless if swimming/cycling/(gimp)walking/etc.

If we don't do that, then what's the point of living/biketouring/travelling?

The Hawkins swimming pool is a pretty good alternative to the gym. The lanes are well separated for people that choose to swim laps, but there is also a more open space for parents that bring their toddlers in to teach them how to swim, or just to float around. It is 2 dollars a person, no military discount. The only thing you should keep in mind is their hours, they usually close in the middle of the day, then reopen. The hours are different almost every day.

This is such an outstanding convenience/essential for us "aged out" folks provided with our tax dollars through El Paso Parks & Recreation! I normally get around on my EV (aka my eBikeKit-assisted CruzBike), but it was out of commission most of February/early March 2023, so my backup plan was to continue exercise via my much better half's upright (Specialized Windrock), cycling to/from this marvelous facility. The hours are extremely convenient, the cost minimal (especially if you buy a month- long pass), but the best part are the personnel. Manager Victor and the lifeguards (particularly Karen & Christian) are very attentive (I always feel safe, especially when doing my Lao in the water), friendly and professional. Fellow swimmers are likewise friendly , and there is an excellent lift system to accommodate wheelchair users. I really like and appreciate the numerous grab bars, especially in the showers. When cycling from Hawkins Pool, I found myself in need of an energy boost, which is "Untapped Maple Waffles", which I've purchased both from Crazy Cat Cyclery (North Stanton & Baltimore) and online. El Paso is extremely fortunate to have such an excellent facility with extremely competent individuals in charge; definitely, my coveted "iWheel of Approval!" goes here!
