Havana Bar & Grill

Checked this place out cause was told there was cumbia music on Sundays but showed up to literally one person at the bar and no music.My friend and I had a couple of drinks but left. The young girl at the bar didn't really know much about the types of music on the different nights. We were never even offered a table much less a menu. The bartender made some very delicious drinks and even comped us a drink. The place has potential but they have to step up their game.

*NOTE business ALL OVER are still looking for workers including this one BE KIND to those who actually show up to work and stop being so damn entitled when you go out somewhere and treat the people are are working poorly! * Now let's get into the details of this Havana! It's taken time for Havana to find its groove and it finally found it! Mind you this is a Cuban themed restaurant. It has the look to it and the cigar lounge right next door. The food is on par. You can tell it's gone through some different chefs and a couple of menu changes and like I said above, they finally figured it out and got the mix right. What ever they are doing now, it's working. You have your daily specials for food and drinks. They have the usual taco Tuesdays with $1.00 tacos all day, Wing it Wednesdays with $.75 wings, $5 margaritas on Fridays. There are different types of entertainment from live music to celebrity impersonators to comedy. You never know what you're going to get. If you are in the mood for a cigar and a nice drink you can go to the cigar lounge where the vibe is chill and relax. If you haven't been to Havana in a while or are looking for a new place to try out I would say go check it out.

This place has so much potential...here comes the ugly "but", service is slow and inconsistent. Probably because they are understaffed. My wife and I decided to check it out, place looks awesome, big stage, big dance floor. We ordered something simple, super nachos. They took forever. So decided to go check what the hold up was. The plate was just sitting there at the bar, no one took the time to deliver it. The food was cold. In the flip side, the band was rocking, the atmosphere was cool. I would work on service, slow and just not there. Get more staff, put more good bands on stage, get the crowds in. Well give it another try.

They opened today and we had to try them. The decor and environment is super nice! The ropa vieja empanadas were delicious! and their ropa vieja dinner plate and their cuban sandwiches are so full of flavors!

Omg where do I begin. The food - really over cooked tostones I've never had a Cuban sandwich with frozen cauliflower. More Mexican food that's not even good than Cuban. Super slow service and a waitress with her gut hanging out . And wow country music. I don't see anything Cuban here except the name. Sorry wanted to like this place being from Florida but oh no!

Very nice environment. Very clean. Nice cigar lounge. But a Cuban restaurant it is not. It has a few Cuban items like twin peaks but that doesn't make them a Cuban restaurant. So why would you think it would make you one? This place is more like a Mexican fusion. Waitress did not know menu. Or even explain anything besides what the most popular dishes are, but she couldn't tell you what it looked like or even what was in it. Nothing more. Besides the empanadas (very good btw) everything came to table completely wrong. So ended leaving and not enjoying anything besides empanadas. Drove from far east side to try, Sorry will NOT be returning. Gave 3 out 5 cause building is nice, clean, Well kept And have live music. Looks like a great bar but not such a great restaurant.

This past weekend we visited Havana Bar and Grill for girls night and loved it!!! Starting off with the service definitely a 10/10. Everyone from the owner to the servers were extremely nice! Servers constantly passing by to pick up trash, refill drinks and make sure we were doing good. They also have a cigar lounge and as soon as we entered we were greeted by a server (Mike D) who was awesome! Showed us the cigar room and explained the different cigars they had available. Also showed us the patio and turned on the fire pit so we could check it out! The food was also a 10/10! We had the beef nachos and the were so good! We also had the wings. We had originally asked for Lemon Pepper wings and a side of Mango Habanero but I think our server misunderstood and brought out plain wings and a side of Buffalo. I was honestly not mad at all because the wings we so good even if they were plain they had a very good taste to them and of course we just added the Buffalo! And lastly the environment was welcoming and entertaining! We went on Saturday and they had Priyankas illusions show and it was an amazing show! I would also give a 10/10! She imitated Selena, Karol G, Alejandra Guzman, and Jenni Rivera. So if you haven't been to Havana yet I recommend giving it a try! Especially for girls night or a date night! They have different specials during the week and different live music/performances/karaoke nights!

Visit this place every Wednesday evening for drinks and the Cuban sandwich, which is a must try! Great and friendly customer service by staff and Amada the bartender. A plus, if you like Salsa and Cumbia music , they have a very good instructor that teaches free dancing lessons starting at 7 pm and has a great turn out! I personally feel that this is a hidden gem that not too many people are aware of. They also have a very nice cigar lounge.

In my humble opinion, this is the best Cigar lounge in the El Paso/Canutillo area. The lounge it self is segregated from the bar/dining room via a glass door. So, the music is not loud and overwhelming in there. The cigar lounge also has its own private bathroom. There is a small selection of cigars for sale. There are both leather chairs if you want to sink into and, some vintage chairs it you like to be more upright and have a conversation.

Ambiance is 5 stars. Jack Welch on Sunday Brunch was great! Service is SLOW always. Food is hit or miss. Had to ask 3 times for chips and salsa. Twice for lemon for the water. Fajitas were very good but they did not come with sour cream or any salsa.Could be better experience.On 2 different occasions it took 20-30 minutes to be served a beer. We weren't informed until 15 minutes later that the beer we ordered was not available and we had to make another choice. Could be a super great place if it was managed better. While we were there a large group came in sat down and in a few minutes got up and left because they never had anyone take their order. 3 servers were chatting at the end of the bar. We like the place but really wish they would step up the service. Seems they may go belly up if they don't. Most people will not return.
