Hakes Brothers at Metro Verde

At the time of this writing, it's been one year and three months since my home was purchased directly from Hakes Brothers. The home came with bent cabinet doors and a dented dishwasher door that has yet to be remedied despite four supervisors being notified and warranty requests being submitted. HB knew of these issues the day the house closed and we were provided papers saying the problems would be fixed. I researched this company before we purchased a home from them and saw negative reviews on multiple sites. I listened to friends that struggled with them. We decided to take a chance with the company and now I wish we had gone with someone else. It has been 15 months of annoyance. Save yourself the headache and find another builder. Once you sign on the dotted line, it's difficult to get them to fix anything. I have no doubt all the negative reviews you read out there are true. Currently, on the Better Business Bureau website, their profile is being updated so you can't see any of those ratings. I remember going there during initial research and not seeing too many good things. A company can have good standing with the BBB as long as the reviews have been responded to. Regardless of the outcome.
