Great Wall Buffet

Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is really good. It's best to come right at dinner or lunch time for the freshest food. I'm a big fan of the jalapeño chicken, fried rice, fried noodles, and salt and pepper shrimp.

I loved that food and I go to a lot of buffet and this one was one of the smallest but still had a great selection and out of the about 20 things I tried, only didn't like one and that is waaaay better odds then I usually get at buffets.

My mom took me here for the first time and it was delicious, I loved all the food, they had on the buffet table, the food had lots of flavor and very savory I loved the honey chicken and the salt and pepper shrimp a lot .It is very clean and the staff were amazing and very kind. Will be definitely coming back here. I'm actually going tonight !

Passing by I 20 and stopped by Monahans for lunch. Saw the Chinese buffet for lunch. Welcoming staff, fresh home style food. Overall all their dishes are tasty and delicious. aside from Chinese good, they also have some sushi. Lots of desert choices.

The food is a typical buffet. No frills. But big plates so you can really load up and pig out. I ate here the other day and saw a patron must have overate and got an upset stomach and messed their under drawers. They hung them on the entrance sign as what I can only interpret as a warning of what may lie ahead. I've eaten here before and know the digestive upset that follows so I was prepared. I feel for the person that messed in their large women's plus size panties, but I bet they enjoyed their lunch.

Great Wall Buffet was one of three restaurants open on a Sunday in Monahans, and we were happy we chose it. The buffet had a nice variety, and the food was fresh, well prepared, and quite tasty. There was fresh fruit, steamed broccoli, and sautéed green beans for veggie lovers. They had beef, chicken, and seafood dishes, as well as soups and desserts. And service was excellent.

My husband and I tried this place the other day (Saturday). It was around 11:30 a.m. There were only a few people there. The steam tables were full of food and steam was coming up through the cracks, so it looked as though the food was hot and fresh. That was far from true. The food was cold, so cold that it grossed me out. I was very disappointed. I guess the cooks just toss cold food in the steam pans and expect the steam to heat it up in time for opening hours. ‍ Were they leftovers? We won't return.

After visiting this place once, I can say it's more than enough. Food? 1/10. After filling up a plate of meats, rice and broccoli, the only thing edible was the rice. The only edible foods for me on the buffet were rice and potato. $18.50 for rice and potato. Save your money.

$50+ for myself& my 2 kids. ages 11 & 8.. mine and my 11 yr old was $20, my youngest was $12.. not much to chose from.. Def not worth the money
