Great American Steakburger

We hadn't been at Great American Steakburger in years, and what a reminder of what we had missed! The food was amazing! My husband had the medallion steak plate, and I ordered their famous green chile cheeseburger, minus the cheese. Super-delicious! The restaurant itself was as welcoming as ever, and the waiter was friendly, polite, and attentive. Recommended! 5/5

The owners of this restaurant used to operate one in Tucson, Arizona. We missed it so much that we drove from Tucson to El Paso for our anniversary dinner.We both ordered fish-I got the broiled Haddock dinner and hubby got beer battered fish sandwich with fries.It's still the best coleslaw he's had in his life!I forgot just how good their ranch beans were The owners and staff treated us like family !It's a very nice relaxing place for 2 to dine or groups!We couldn't find fault the entire evening- it was delicious and delightful!!

I placed a To Go order and requested mushrooms as a side order with my Rib Eye Stake. The girl that took my order even repeated back what I ordered. I stopped by the Yarborough Great American restaurant and sure thing, no mushrooms. Attention to detail is missing by the person taking the orders. First time I don't leave a tip, I was very disappointed .

So this was way better than anticipated! We were a large celebratory party and they had the staff to take care of us even though the place was packed.The food was so good! My friend had the steak salad- I never imagined that it would be so full and look so good- that is what I am getting next! I had the burger and it hit the spot. There is enough variety so that there is something to definitely make your mouth happy!

Food was very good!! My husband and I both had burgers. They were cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place!! Service was excellent

Service is a tip pull and for this reason I believe it is not attentive. I am all for teamwork. However, this is non existent here. You spend your time looking around trying to get the attention of any worker to help you with a drink refill. When you ask they all give you an attitude as if you are bothering them. The food is good. But not so good I care to go and not receive full service at a full service establishment.

Everything delicious. Staff was excellent. Food was plentiful. So was the bill. But would do it again. Maybe try to control myself from all the good food.

You all know my love for (Um Um Good Eats)I didn't plan to come in today but when I saw the sign as "Great American Steakburger", I had to try out-can't miss it and won't miss itHere's my review based on the food I paid in full as long with my stomach, hahahaIt seemed a bit odd looking burger house since it didn't have much of "mesquite or hickory" fumes as soon as I opened the door(there were "double doors" and you would be welcomed by "souvenir stand" huh?Almost all tables were occupied (good sign) but mostly moms and kids(not a good sign for good burger joints; no offense but no hunks&no smokes would lead to no good burger)Since this was my first time, i ordered Original Burger with Onion Rings and smoked sausage plates as appetizer - waiter told me that they didn't have a smoker and not much know as "BBQ" - I just wanted to know how on earth they put BBQ ribs, sausage and briskets in the menu without the smoker(I tried for you so you shouldn't order them - no need to thank me lol)I would like to ask the cook to grill the sausage then sliced them to serve - it looked like 1 sliced and 2. Finished in the oven or broilerToo greasy and not much of flavor but extremely salty (evaporated all the juice but sitting in the fat)But I enjoyed the OG steakburger - fresh and crisp vege set - 4 stars worthOnion Rings - Sysco or any food vendor itemsN/A ; not from the scratchSauce - N/A ; I don't think not many burger joints make their signature BBQ sauce no more why?Service - very attentive and honest!! The quality of the food and accuracy of orders for take out has really declined. Always loved the salmon but doesn't taste the same the last couple of times. Also frustrating to pay for something and find it is missing from order when you get home.

I've been going to Great American Steakburger for many years! The food is very good. The staff is efficient and friendly. However, last week, my usual perfectly cooked salmon was very undercooked. I had eaten some of it before I realized how undercooked it was. Christine, the manager on duty, went above and beyond to fix the problem. The Cajun Chicken that I switched out the salmon for was delicious!I left a happy customer. Jackie D.
