Grand Buffet

Quite a bit of back and forth on this particular restaurant within the reviews. It is conveniently located next to the Hampton Inn on East Griggs and very easy for a traveler to pop over. I asked at the front desk their opinion on the place and it literally had mixed reviews.It was late and I did not want to go anywhere else at a long day of travel so I walked over. You pay for the buffet as you enter. Price to inlcude drink was around $14.50. Proceed to your table with your ticket and one of the wait staff will get your drink. Not very crowded when I went. Fairly large selection of soups, appetizers, entrees, sushi and dessert. I will say that some of the product on the line looked fresher than others. Checked out the sushi and spoke to the chef who was preparing it. Wanted to make sure it had not been sitting out too long. He assured me that it was recently prepared and asked me if there was anything in particular I might like (very nice). Got a full plate and cautiously dug. It was very good. Went back several times and the chef even prepared something special for me with mackerel. I was pleased with the sushi. I did not really get much from the hot bar, but what I got was okay, perhaps a little dry from sitting too long. So, an acceptable meal.

They charge dinner prices and are serving lunch food. I came in at 5:00 PM paid dinner prices. Went to get hot and sour soup there wasn't even enough to fill a bowel even if you scrape the bottom. I had to ask them to put out more. The chicken was extremely over cooked and only room temperature. I understand they have no competition for a Chinese buffet in this town, but that is not an excuse for this type of quality when charging premium prices. Every item that I selected hoping to satisfiy my hunger was not fresh or hot. I basically just ended up going elsewhere after in order to get a decent dinner

Our dining experience was horrible. It was Memorial day, May 30, 2022 the two Chinese employees where fighting in Chinese in the dining area. They were soooo loud! Everyone heard them, saw them. It was scary.They could have handled it differently. It did not only happen once but more than three times. The two employees continued fighting every time they encounter each other in the dining area. We lost our appetite due to this incident. Food is okay. The dining experience was horrible!

An option is take-out! For me, rice, couple of chicken options and mushrooms were all okay and the price was right as I am to pay per pound. I am not a buffet person, nor a big eater, but if you are then check this place out as you will probably love it!

Great Chinese food!To me, as a Chinese, their food is really tasty.I like their Sushi and seafood.

We arrived at 11:00 and were greeted by an arrogant cashier who clearly was unhappy with her job. I sampled the sushi first and found a large variety of items and they were all freshly prepared., which is why I didn't rate them with one star. They offered a huge selection of Chinese and American items as well, I sampled several and although they were fresh, they were mediocre at best. I recommend this place if you don't care about the quality of your food or if all you want to do is fill yourself up with fatty, mediocre food.

My daughter & I were craving sushi. Seen this. We went there. Huge mistake... The sushi was bad. There was less amount & the avocado were old. We didn't get to eat some. Then, went in line for food. Everything was less amount of food again, the desserts empty and some fruits were molded. Even my drink, hot tea didn't taste right. I asked to change my drink, which they did. Only thing I liked was the chop stick I got for my daughter.

I saw the reviews and was a bit skeptical, but I was craving sushi and a restaurant with a sushi bar is something I can't pass up. There was SO MUCH FOOD. Some food wasn't as flavorful as my husband wanted, but I'd say if it doesn't have the flavor punch you're looking for, there's lots of other options. I was pretty satisfied with everything they had to offer. Food was continuously coming out, so it was hot and fresh. For the price you pay, it's 100% worth it. Service was on par. Staff was nice and attentive. The experience was peaceful. Don't go solely off the bad reviews. Try it for yourself. We're glad we did.

I've eaten there too many times and ended up with an upset stomach or diarrhea. The staff have been nice. No complaints there. Food quality is erratic.

Nope. Nope. Nope. I was with a group of 5 and none of us liked any of the food. Keep in mind, no one in my group is a harsh critic. Panda will do fine. But this was not good.
