This little cafe is a hole in the wall, so I prefer to order on the phone, their food is ok depending on what you order however they don't realize certain people prefer to order because small businesses magnetize sick people and COVID is still here so when you go to call to order their phone goes directly to voicemail and their voicemail box is full all the time, so with communication like this I will only give this cafe a one star for there performance

We decided to try the Good Luck Cafe for a late lunch today. Very busy place, all the tables were occupied by the time our lunch was completed. The chips and salsa were different, not the usual corn chips. I had the smothered (green) steak burrito, which was one of the BEST steak burritos that I have had in town. It had beans, onions, tomatoes and jalapenos inside with the steak. My wife had the ground beef taco plate. Her lunch was good, but she has had better tacos. Maybe deshebrada (shredded beef ) would have been better. Service was excellent.

There are a lot of reasons to come here and eat.1. Prices are super reasonable.2. Staff is extremely friendly.3. You feel like you have stepped into a restaurante across the border4. The food is made to order and really good. The reason it's not 5 stars. Formerly frozen shrimp. Those little things just irritate the heck out of me.I had one of the lunch specials ($7.99) with a cheese enchilada, crispy taco and what may well be one of the best chile rellenos I ever had. Everything was made after you ordered. So there was no microwave reheated gunky cheese. Be careful though, if you say you like things spicy...it will be spicy. The wife ordered a shrimp dish and though she loves spicy, this was w-a-y spicy.Rice was not over chili powdered like some places seem to think Mexican rice should taste. It wasn't sticky. A lovely compliment to the gummy refried beans. Yum!The chips with red and green salsa that come out are home made. A bit thick for my taste but the red salsa was my choice over the green. It's only open for breakfast and lunch. But if you have a chance to make it by for a bite I can't see how you would dislike the care they ladies in the open kitchen put into the dishes. We'll be back.

This review is solely based on one visit and I had the shrimp cocktail and that's all. It was pretty good but expected a little more flavor. I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. 3 stars for good food. I'll be back.

If you want Mexican food cooked by an authentic Mexican Grandma, look no further. I've passed this place many times, but never noticed it. It's tiny on the outside and cozy on the inside. The parking lot is tight, but you can park on the curb. As soon as you walk in, you'll see the diner style seats on the left and if you look a little further, you'll see the amazing Mexican Grandma cooking for you in the back. You have to seat yourself. This place was busy constantly. Unfortunately, our waitress was a little slow on the draw, but I'm assuming one of the family came and attended to us. There's breakfast and lunch only. I decided to try the menudo. My sister had the caldo de res. All homemade. My menudo had all the sides and I didn't even have to ask: red pepper flakes, oregano, chopped onion, and lime. The chile was not to hot, the meat was fresh, tender and washed well and not too salty. I found out the menudo was "all you can eat" but my one portion was more than enough. I can't wait to come back.

Food was good. If you're looking for a traditional "Mexican" breakfast this is for you. They were kind of skimpy on the chips and salsa. The waitress wasn't very friendly or helpful when I asked her for suggestions or opinions on dishes. The place is very run down, very small and doesn't look very clean if I'm being honest. I'm not sure if I would dine in again.

Great food. We got a gordita plate and a taco plate. I preferred the gordita plate, and would definitely go back and get that again. Their rice was fine, but their beans were also very good. Great portions and delicious food, overall it's definitely recommended. It seemed like everyone in the restaurant was getting soup, so that might be something to check out next time.
