Golden Star Chinese

Stopped by for lunch as we drove through silver city. Exceeded my expectations! Not the best chinese food I've had compared to socal and the bay but satisfied the craving for asian food. You order at the front and the food is already made. I got general tsao's chicken and fried rice. Would probably get the plain white rice next time. The chicken was mostly what you would expect, kind of like panda express.Overall, was happy to find a local chinese mom & pop restaurant!

Fast service, generous portions, kind staff. I got combo B plate with mushroom chicken and spicy chicken. Both entrees were good and paired will with the fried rice and chow mein.

Once was enough. They serve New Mexican style Chinese. ... whatever that may be. There are two other-- much better -- Chinese restaurants in Silver!

Delicious Egg Foo Young! The Egg Foo Young is the reason to visit!!! This little place appears to do a lot of business, as every time I have been there - even during the COVID shutdown - there are always others placing orders. Therefore, there can be a bit of a wait but it's worth it. The price is reasonable. I recommend Golden Chinese!

Nice quiet, sit down to nicely prepared food. I ate there only once so far. No reason for why not since. Worth a visit for a pleasant dinner of Chinese food.

I have been craving Chinese food for a weeks. Deming is very disappointing when it comes to restaurants. One of our customers recommended Golden Star, so we decided to try it.Wow. I could smell the deliciousness from a block away! Mmmm!! The ginger beef was too spicy for me but not for my husband. I got broccoli beef & it was delicious. The fried rice and noodles were also great.We'll definitely be making the 2 hour round trip weekly!

It is our go to stop when we are in Sliver City!! Highly recommend, good food at a great price!! Have eaten here so many time I have lost count, never had bad food, bad service, nor have ever gotten sick.

Could not give any stars .Food was very hard to chew looked like it had been Sitting out for awhile. Chicken tasted spoiled. Never had an issue with me food til now.

So sorry to say even tho there were loads of cars tons of people inside and don't understand how they can serve this food. I got the 3 item combo. Half rice half lo mein. Sides were egg roll, mushroom chicken and orange chicken was supposed to be jalapeño chicken. Anyway all of it inedible. Threw the whole plate away. The chicken was dry inedible in the orange chicken a shame cause the coating wasn't bad. The mushroom chicken had fresh chicken and veggies but no flavor in an extremely bland sauce. I figured at least there is rice and lo mein, honestly was super hungry but the rice wasn't at all tasty and the texture was too hard. The lo mein tasted likely oily spaghetti noodles. Not a good oil. Anyway I don't understand maybe I ordered everything wrong ? Nice folks otherwise
