This is where you MUST go if you are in Hatch, NM!! The chilies are roasted fresh. The quality of the actual chilies as produce are top notch, grown locally in Hatch on their sprawling family farm! The family that owns and runs it TRULY cares if you are happy as a customer. Gerardo, the owner is very kind. They truly value you as a patron. Oh, and when you get those chilies home and you begin using them you will KNOW how fresh they are. Even the fresh frozen ones we bought are PACKED with flavor. Visited New Mexico recently and had to stop by Hatch for green chilies. I picked up one mason jar of Gilly's green chili salsa. It was absolutely delicious and I now need to figure out how to order a truckload more & have it shipped to California! I could absolutely sell thousands of jars here on the Central Coast!

Well, Gilly (Gilbert) has left this world and whoever has taken over the stand is doing a terrible job.Made arrangements to pick up some chilies and they were not there.Supposed to open at 08:30 and still weren't there at 13:00.Spoke with other customers, who like us went elsewhere.At least we found another vendor so the drive from Albuquerque wasn't a complete loss.

OMG!!!!!! I'm no credited professional cook but I know my way around the kitchen. Let me tell you the chili powders sold at this location are absolutely the best I have ever used, period! The customer service is top notch, they made us feel more like family rather than a customer!I cant wait to visit the store again!!!

There's nothing better than Hatch chiles and our favorite destination is Gilly's the King of Chiles. When we travel from Tucson to Santa Fe we always take the Hatch turnoff. On the way home we stop at Gilly's. During chile roasting season they will roast and peel your fresh chiles. Well worth the extra cost. You can take them home and pop them in the freezer. This trip was chile ristras. They sell them for cooking or sprayed for display. We were buying for cooking. In the back room they have jars of salsa, fresh pinto beans, garlic, onions, bags of dehydrated chiles and more. This trip Gilly wasn't there. He's quite the character.

I have been buying your green chile here in Denver for many years. I recommend it to everyone I know, and they love it. There's a stand by the VFW on Colfax that sets up every year. I buy a sack every year as did my mom before she passed in 2017. You definitely have many repeat customers and we would be heartbroken if you ever stopped. The extra hot is definitely extra hot. Will keep me warm all winter. Thank you.

Fair prices, great green sauce and salsa. Easy access right off the interstate. I have been stopping at the store 1 or twice a year for past 15 years.

Best customer experience at the Hatch Chile festival this year. Everyone was super nice and polite even though customers were being difficult. Tamales were AWESOME!!!!!!!! GREEN AND RED!!!!!
