Warning! If you are looking for the historic Little Diner in Canutillo and YELP gave you this place when you searched, look again. This is NOT Little Diner that has been in business for over 40 years. It took took several direct question with the counter staff to get them to admit they are not only NOT the Little Diner but they are NOT affiliated with the Little Diner as well. I think it is clear this is a blatant attempt to try and ride on the success, history and coat tails of someone else's hard work and success.

In the El Paso area, Alice the Burrito lady is the authority on good burritos. I first started frequenting Alice when I was in high school back in 2001. I went to Franklin and a friend would take a group of us there for lunch. Every single time the burrito was delicious, and 1 burrito is enormous so that you fill yourself up and likely have half a burrito left for later. They are probably about a foot and a half long and stuffed to the gills with meat. I would guess they weigh at least a pound each. I have had the Carne Asada (my favorite), Carnitas, Mole, Chicken De., and Picadillo, and can testify that every single one of them is delicious. My friends that have had the others all claim they are equally as good. However, the best part of the burrito is the tortilla. These are made from scratch daily right in front of your eyes and they are easily the best tortillas I have ever tasted. When I moved away from El Paso every trip home I would have to stop at Alice the day I arrived and the day I left. Now that I am back living in El Paso, I make it over there at least once a month, and whenever my friends come back to town its one of the first places we visit.Alice the Burrito Lady makes a delicious, enormous, and fresh Burrito for under $5. If you are ever at the outlet mall nearby save yourself the money from the expensive frozen foodcourt food, and head on over to Alice. You won't regret it.

Cash only! But they do have an ATM. Huge burritos, authentic food...homemade tortillas. Delicious! Not upscale, not the cleanest etc if that's what you're looking for go elsewhere. But this is worth it! Laid back little Mexican joint with great food! Will visit again

Sometimes people are willing to eat in a place that's really dirty, nasty, disgusting place. Just because they serve a big portion. this place to me is absolutely gross I don't care if the burritos are good or huge the place itself is fill of grime, grease all over the place, burnt pots, and not very sanitized at all. I will never eat at that place again.

The food here is awesome. I got the mole beef burrito and the missus got the deshebrada verde. Sure there's a little bit a wait but that's because they make their own tortillas TO ORDER for each burrito. That right: your tortilla didn't exist before you ordered. The flavors were really great. Each burrito was true to their description. The heat level was just perfect. Any time I'm going from las Cruces to El Paso I'm stopping at this place. You just can't pass it up!

If you're Interstate 10 on the border of Texas and New Mexico, thenPLEASE stop at this place. It's about 3 minutes off the highway off ofa major exit.I actually stopped here because I was really sick of fast food. My GPShad this place listed so I thought I would try it out. This place is not a sit down and get a menu restaurant, but go to thecounter and place an order from the menu on the wall restaurant. It's "hole in the wall" and their menu is only in Spanish. When I wentthe person taking the order didn't speak English very well. Most ifnot all of the choices of meat/flavors are precooked.I ordered the carnitas burrito for myself and the chicken mole burritofor my wife. It's not a typical burrito you might expect. They put the meat in theHOME MADE flour tortilla and wrap it more like a taquito (sorry theonly similar thing I can think of) with the ends open, then wrap ittightly in tin foil so you can eat it without it spilling everywhere. The Carnitas was the best carnitas I've ever had. I'm a white guy buti've had lots of carnitas. It cubbed carnitas in a sauce similar togreen verde. The meat was cooked so it was firm on the outside andjuciy and tender on the outside. It might have been lightly fried orcooked on a hot flat surface before it was cooked in the sauce. Thesauce was so flavored and had many layers of taste. Just wonderful!I had some of my wife's chicken mole burrito. Wow! I've had chickenmole a few times and it usually sucked. Alicia knows how to cookchicken mole. I can't swear to it's authenticity but I'm pretty surethis is how it's supposed to taste. The tortilla, was probably the best flower tortilla I've ever tasted. And again I've had many. It had to be home made. If I'm wrong, then Iwould love to know the vendor they get these tortillas from. Thetexture was perfect, light yet firm. Not bland by any means but not atall overpowering, but entirely complimenting the contents of theburrito.I completely forget what else was on the menu but there was probably10 other types of meat/flavors to get.GO TO THIS PLACE!

Good burritos, fresh made tortillas. I love there raja con queso ( green chili with cheese), spicy but really good. I just wish they'd make tortas de camaron on Good Friday's.
