GI SUPPLY has been up and running, and saving a Soldiers day since I was a mere Specialist, and probably even sooner(?)... which for reference is a very, very long time ago. The service is 5-Stars, period. Clayton especially is a man for the people, of the people, and he'll help out Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines alike. The selection is pretty solid - they basically have 1 or more of everything! From 2 versions ago of PTs, to a few (just saw them yesterday) of the newer "Pinks and Greens", and every type of "gear" between. Clay gets stuff in all the time. I've been using GI Supply for over 20 years. When I need something sewn on, created (name tags / dogs tags), or especially when I "lost" some gear or clothing item that the Army wants back - I got two options: go buy it at GI Supply, or, pay 300% mark up directly to the Army. Trust me, GI Supply saved me and my checkbook multiple times! The value is hands down the best!Quick turnarounds, willingness to work with you to your needs, lots of inventory from new to used, and friendliest service you'll ever find - GI SUPPLY is going on over 20 years, it's the best in town, and that ain't changing anytime soon.

GI Supply is all kinds of awesome, I am happy they are conveniently located outside the Fred Wilson gate. If you need items altered or name tapes they have quick turnaround. Good costumer service. If you are missing items from your clothing record and need to replace them before getting a statements of charges this is also your place. This place is a gold mine you can find about anything. I believe is the owner or his brother is quite handsome too, totally a reason to stop by and check out the store.

As I rapidly approach imminent retirement a mere 3 months from now, I find myself misty-eyed as I think about all the years I've been coming here to get my name tapes sown onto BDU tops, pre-shaped berets and an E-tool cover I just procured free of charge.Okay, okay...I'm kidding, guys. I am SO not misty-eyed about being released from indentured servitude. But I have been coming to this place for years. Almost as long as Brown Bag, come to think of it.Not too much to say about this place, really. If you find yourself missing TA-50 gear, this is the first place to come search for it. Although, that usually only works for the smaller, less expensive items. If you're missing sappy plates or something like that, d-...don't come here asking for sappy plates, guys. Just....don't be THAT guy. They might laugh you out of the building. The prices are fair, but they don't accept returns. Spend more than $5 to use a debit/credit card....that's pretty much it. Sometimes they play movies whilst you wait. Which is good...considering their lines are liable to extend beyond the length of a boa constrictor; especially around lunch time.GI Supply is the Soldier's department store. They get 5 E-tool covers free of charge out of 5.

Absolutely love coming to this spot for all my sewing needs. Its cheap and most times quick! Sometimes for supplies too. When i had to go to Basic Leadership Course, i was missing a pair of gloves, the shells. I asked them if they had any used ones and i was in luck for only 7$! I think new ones cost 20$ or more at Clothing and Sales. Best time to come in is when they just opened at 10 from what I've experienced. 11ish or lunch time is the worst. I love how some days, i would have the same day service and wait as long as 10 minutes the most for something small and quick to get sewn on.Be careful buying boots here though. There was a pair i was so close to buying but luckily checked with my supervisor if they were in regulations, which ultimately they weren't. They have a surplus of used uniforms and a good variety of supplies a soldier needs.Friendly and prompt service too. They ask what you need and get it done swiftly. Sometimes they may be abrupt but thats just to keep the line moving as quick as possible which is perfect.

Been a returning customer for quite some years. Until today I purchased a dog tag set about a week ago and realized my name was spelled 'Lathy' instead of 'Kathy'. Although the other dog tag was correct. Owner said that I should of checked and said he wouldn't make me a new dog tag. I accommodated because the dog tag is $6 and owner said I have to spend $10+ to pay with credit card so I said hey let me purchase a whoobie for $35+ to support his business. Lost "Lathy" as your customer! I truly hope your customer service becomes better.

Prices are steep - $40 for two uniform tops getting sewed is about double what I'm used to paying - but for two day turnaround it seemed fair.Went to pick up my uniform tops just now, and the guy told me that since I don't have my receipt, I'm barred from bringing him any more business. Wild - I actually asked him to repeat himself, since it seemed such a bite thing to say. He tried to blame it on some policy where they "pick up too much fraud from on post", but I have no idea how that makes sense.Buyer beware, I guess. Plenty of other sew shops.

GI supply is DEFINITELY the place for cheap and quick alterations. They also have all the items needed to purchase for uniform and rank alterations. Lots of cheap/affordable military equipment. Nothing anywhere near the quantity of actual clothing as sales and not a lot of wide selections, but if your desperate for any last minute/lost items, this would be the placed go to an locate that item. My only gripe about the place is that the parking lot is very small. Due to its popularity and close proximity to post, it can and WILL get very busy for uniform alterations. I waited in line for an hour for my rank to be replaced and re-sewn, but it only took about 10 minutes. These seamstresses are QUICK! One other good thing about this place is if you are only needing to purchase something and you are in the back of the alternation line (since they're one in the same), just let the gentleman know up front and he'll take care of you. He'll even periodically announce if anyone is only purchasing.

If Oscar the grouch ran CIF. I was looking for parts to a medium ruck, which they didn't have. Only for the truly desperate. The smell is part of the charm.
