I'm too old to do this. I had a Dell laptop with a cruddy WLAN card, so I swapped it out for an Intel 9560. However I was able to get the card installed only partially, the antenna connections to it for wifi and BT are beyond micro SMA connectors and my old ass eyes and shaky fat fingers couldn't re-engage the white WIFI antenna lead. I called Oscar and he said he'd look at it and see if he could help, so I brought it in. He said to come back in an hour, which I did and he had it working 5x5 again. He showed me the workmanship since the laptop case was rebuttoned up, on his phone photos, and it looked Sierra Hotel. His price was more than fair, his turnaround was super & very helpful for me, and the work performed was excellent. I'd go back to Oscar and trust him with my equipment, you should too.

Horrible experience. I've been conducting business with Jim Silva @ Genesis computers since 2010 with two laptops. This past week total change of attitude, service, and work. Came in w/Computer trouble with drivers. Poor turnaround time at first. Jim states customers are told 48 hrs of issue. Took 5 days after "I" started inquiry the 4th day on just the status. Next, system was not working with blue tooth and activation key was needed. Took comp again. Took 3 days to get status back when ready. Now, continued issues with activation key. Called Jim to request help and stated issue. He stated issue is not his concern and now to purchase another key. He is non-caring when fixing his errors/mistakes Concerns are the integrity with his work completing the work right, the first time. After he charge me, now faced to take comp again somewhere else. Be careful with work from Genesis Comp.Update: To All Beware. Now I have Jim S. messaging and threatening to sue because I submitted review. Now all can see true nature of this man. First, all is true, documented and recorded. I will contact yelp of Jim Silva's harassing behavior to note as a business owner. I will get my laptop fixed, and serve Jim Silva for the cost of everthing. Remember, ethical intrigrity, Customer Service first.

Oscar has helped me over the past few years (starting in 2014 with my Sony Vaio). He was VERY honest, and he did a HDD clone and swap for an SSD. He didn't try to oversell on capacity. The time he took was accurate as well being a few days for the entire thing to be done. I have been coming here for 7 years for all my internal computer needs, and I will not look anywhere else.

The other reviews are true! It's a very good day when you meet someone honest who takes care of your needs. That's exactly how you'll feel when you meet Jim Silva and his crew at Genesis. Jim took his time to explain in layman's terms what was wrong with my computer. He even opened my tower in front of me and told me my memory cards had been tampered with (from prior servicing elsewhere, so disappointing). Service was very prompt (done in 48 hrs) and they went above and beyond in fixing, cleaning, debugging my pc. I am very impressed with these guys and will be a lifetime customer.

I first went to this business because their reviews were so good. I even shook off the totally out-dated webpage for word of mouth. I had a cracked screen replaced on a mac book pro last summer. They fixed it, but the screen became separated shortly after. I took it back a few months later. I was told I needed to pay for a kit to retape the screen. I was astonished it would cost 39.99, but I told them to go ahead and order it. Then when I went to pick up my computer, I was told it was 49.99. When I explained that I was told a different price, the owner was outraged. He went on and on about taking the hit. He ended up giving me the price I was quoted. There was no record of the quoted price. I will not be going back. It has been several days and the screen has come apart from the computer. Maybe I need the Apple store.
