The food was delicious and I definitely recommend the MENUDO!! So tasty and clean. All the food was 100% authentic. The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is an older crowd and very calm. Loved it!!

Decent Mexican food near the Ysleta Mission. Our family enjoyed the tacos, flautas and green enchiladas. The chile relleno was also very tasty. We would not advise ordering the salpicon again.

This is an old staple of the Lower Valley. The restaurant is not very big so it's noisy when full. But they have some great Mexican and American breakfast dishes. My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros, 2 eggs on a corn tortilla and covered in light but flavorful red Chile sauce with onions. It comes with southern potatoes and refried beans. Hubby ordered Padre Trail breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 sausage and 2 bacon and 2 pancakes. But they forgot the sausage so he wasn't a happy camper even when they brought 1. Lol

Consistently good breakfast and service. Sundays can get pretty crazy but the other mornings we get seated fairly quickly. Prices are fair and portions are generous.

I was in El Paso visiting my parents. They suggested we go here for the huevos rancheros. Which were good. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is that the coffee was not very good and the menudo they served my mom did not have very much meat. When we brought it to the servers attention she was not very responsive and did not offer to take it back so more meat could be put in. Very disappointed.

Come from Dallas for a short trip and found this place. I ordered menudo AND Chile verde. Washed down with an authentic horchata! (Which she came and refilled like it was water at no charge) food way beyond my expectations. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend. I'll stop back by In 5 years!

This is place is closed to my work and I really enjoy it, the taste of the food is right on point is like eating at your grandma's house, the portions are very good in size and I think that the best time of the day to go is during lunch.

Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations, or in my opinion El Paso's standard for traditional Mexican food. I ordered the chilaquiles with eggs, a standard Mexican breakfast, and beans apparently the plate does not come with has-browns? The red sauce tasted like water most likely it was blended and served. A good red should be cooked takes a full day to obtain the flavors. Overall disappointed.!!

It's always nice to find a new hole in the wall. Took a drive down alameda searching for a breakfast dive. The parking lot at Gabriel's was full -always a good sign so we gave it a shot. So glad we did. in a word, the food was delicious. In another word, service polite and attentive. But they are clearly in need of some more hired hands. Signage throughout says they are hiring. Food was a little slow coming out but not enough to complain about. No chips and salsa were offered which is unusual for a Mexican diner. That might have earned them the 5th star. Next time I'll give the menudo a whirl. I wasn't in a menudo mood today but I have no regrets with Gabriellas skillet. My wife wanted her traditional enchiladas with eggs. She went with red sauce after the waitress warned her that her preferred green was pretty spicy. Her gringa tongue is pretty wimpy. But she really liked them anyway. Overall it was a good experience and the price was very good indeed. We don't often cruise Alameda for breakfast but we'll stop here next time we do. I recommend Gabriel's.

The meudo was some of the best I've had from a restaurant. Very good. However, the service was lousy. No one says hello, no one smiles. They all avoid any sort of customer service so that they can stand around and gossip with the cashier. Just think how great this place would be if the help were just a little bit friendly.
