G.I. Jose

G.I. Jose is located close to the MSG Peńa gate on Airport Rd. Close to Carl's Jr and immediately next to "Viva Burrito." This military supply store is the cleanest of all in the area. It is nice to walk in here, and it is lovely decorated. The staff is busy but answers any questions. I have successfully found many items I previously needed and have also been satisfied when selling them items I no longer needed. I am always grateful to have stores such as this one close by because the items are much more affordable than those sold new from the clothing and sales store, in good condition, and the store has much better hours. G.I. Jose also offers alterations, accepts credit cards, and has a convenient parking lot shared with other businesses at their mini-mall.

Never was able to checkout the place. They never kept the hours posted on their front door. Oh well, it's just business right?

Best customer service I've received anywhere! Don't know her name but the lady that works here saved my life!!! I needed a supporting victory service medal today so my boyfriend who is in blc sgt school right now was going to get a strike tomorrow. Three strikes you're out! Called every army surplus store in Denver all the way to Pueblo and none of them had it. Called here the lady said she needed a picture to be sure so she gave me her number and I sent it. Ten minutes later she said they had it it was three fifty at this point and the shop closes at five and I was driving from Denver. I called at four forty about forty minutes out to see if she could wait and told I was twenty minutes away because I needed that medal. She stayed and even called back a few minutes before I got there to see if I was still coming. Thank you so much to her she is a saint and the reason my boyfriend will graduate blc without any strikes!!!

Dropped off an ASU Top to be done on Friday 20MAY22. I was told to pick it up Monday 23MAY22. I arrived 24MAY and it wasn't ready and had to finish and steam it out, no big deal. I understand they're busy. I Asked if they would be able to make an alteration(open it up) by Thursday. The lady that does the alteration said "are you serious" in an upset tone. A simple Yes or No would have been fine, so I said no worries ma'am as she finished up with the ASU Top. When finished, She then came back and offered to do it but at that point GI José already lost my business. As for the lady at the front that works the register, she is very friendly and polite.The store is great and has quite a selection of OCIE/TA50 equipment if you're in need and is reasonably priced.

This place was refreshing. Shelves of folded and fairly well organized used uniforms. I went a another local surplus store that I dug for over an hour through piles of uniforms in a hot warehouse for over an hour and still left with only half of what I needed. In ten minutes I was able to locate the shelf with my size range and find 7 pairs of pants in my size. Two of them looked brand new! I also found a new top as well. All of this was $160. A little more expensive but saved me so much time. Money well spent! ( also still less than half the cost buying brand new)

My husband and I went to visit this shop and found some items that we made a deal with but then the owner decides to look it up on ebay and retracts the deal. I don't really blame him for that but that is not the way to run a business. You make a deal with someone on a price you should stick with it. Just saying! This happened at the El Paso location and now he is going to threaten me. Hell no!

Terrible customer service. Never on time and rarely right. Girl behind the counter always says "I didn't know what you wanted." SOLDIERS BEWARE of this place. I've been in service 30 years and around lots of military installations, this place misses the mark more often than not.

I needed gear for my CIF turn in, I was told if they did not accept the gear I would get a FULL REFUND. Instead she only gave me half. Places like this take advantage of soldiers. Money hungry business
