Often busy and lines are quite long, they try there best to keep up with everyone. Lots of deals on food and drinks really cheap, it makes sense why people shop here. Fairly new location clean and well organized inside.

I actually really like this place, not only is it close to home but the deals they have are amazing compared to what I'm use to seeing back in GA. The staff is friendly and helpful and everything is labeled in both English and Spanish. This will probably be my go to grocery store.

I had transitioned my major grocery shopping to Food King with the exception of bread and bakery items, which are usually molding , stale, or out of date. However, they have elected to allow customers to go without face masks, so I will no longer shop there.

So I get that we are in a border city and a lot of people speak Spanish - I'm not one of them. When I go in to a store and have questions or paying for merchandise, it would be nice to be spoken to in English so I can understand. I went to the Food King at 8201 Dyer in El Paso, Texas and the lady working the cash register didn't know ONE WORD of English. What? Then the person next to her said "no, she doesn't know English." My jaw dropped. Then they started talking about me in Spanish and laughing. I left. My sister-in-law is Hispanic and she's had the same problem and she speaks Spanish! She insists they speak English to her because we are in the U.S.A. There are a lot of people in El Paso that don't speak Spanish (because of Ft. Bliss). It's great if you speak both languages, but it would be nice to go into a store in the U.S. where you get the service you deserve. You are paying after all. I WILL NEVER EVER step foot into another Food King.P.S. This cashier wasn't even wearing a mask when I walked up. I gave her a look and then she finally put one on. What pandemic?

Don't shop at these stores the food is cheap because most of it is about to expire. We don't buy our meat from food king because we've heard bad things about it but seeing how there's one close to our house and we needed ground beef ASAP I decided to stop buy thinking all ground beef taste the same. Once we cooked it thoroughly it had a weird smell and taste to it nobody ended up eating it. I bought some at Albertsons a couple weeks later and it was good. This place is good for dry goods but as for anything fresh it's about to spoil, it's cheap for a reason.
