Food City Ranchland

Was gonna give this place 4.5 stars because the menudo and the pan dulce are delicious, however I noticed on my receipt I was charged $9.98 for 8 piece fried chicken that I did not order at 8:35 AM on a Sunday morning with my menudo and pan dulce. Check your receipts!!! We waited almost 2 hours in line for menudo on Xmas eve morning. They only have 1 line for menudo, bakery items, and food items, so it gets very disorganized very easily. They ran out of bread by 7:45am which caused the line to get even more hectic. If you ordered menudo but wanted bread, you had to pay for menudo and then get back into a separate long line for bread.

came to try the carnitas, had it in the torta. not the worst, not the best. i think their carnitas is like a roasted bone in meat that they have on hand to chop up cold, but i prefer when they fry it on the plancha and make it crispy before serving. there were a good amount of ppl in line so this place seems to be something of a neighborhood haunt for their food and bakery. maybe i'll try the tamales sometime? i went to look at their produce and everything looked fresh and there were some good deals. no way i was going to pass on 4 for $1 avocados :3

The place is great but I went on a Saturday just you get their delicious pan blanco but realized they are terribly organized. There's only 1 massive line for the bakery, food ordering, and menudo. Why not just have 3 separate lines so everything moves faster? Made no sense to me to wait in line behind more than 15 people for 6 pieces of bread so I left dissatisfied. I truly hope they correct this situation.

Their bakery is hands down the best. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star is simply because of their employees. You can't ask a question or two without them ignoring you or acting as if you're personally ruining their day. Thankfully I only walk into the bakery area and don't bother with the general store.

I was contacted by Melissa from Food City via email today. Her prompt response and willingness to resolve this issue is big in my book. One less than favorable experience will not diminish my view of the Food City brand!I will Shop at Food City again because they made me feel that my concerns did not fall on deaf ears and of course for their high quality products at competitive prices!

Best tortas in town, and the prices are very reasonable. The turkey tail ones are my favorite. They don't skimp on the meat and load them up on toppings.

Pssst!! I've found El Paso's best pork carnitas spot! Well, my dad found it actually. After being spoiled in a super foodie city of Austin, I've been very disappointed with my restaurant experiences on visits to El Paso. This place does not dissapoint! My dad ordered one pound of cooked pork carnitas and we used them in tacos and sandwiches at home. TRY IT ALREADY :)

The food and everything is great, but they need to remodel this store, the store looks and feels dirty, the halls can get crowded, it was a mess, the people at the bakery were really ignorant at times. They have to be more clean and organized. They need to have somewhere to clean the carts , I give this a 1 star.

I love their food in the bakery, but I dread going to this place just for the fact that the bakery is so disorganized. I have never been in to the bakery and waited less than 20 minutes. The ladies take their time and have no rush when they see the line is long... management needs to get involved and make this part of the store more productive
