Stopped by for a private 1 hour soak. Worth it if you're in the area, but IMO wouldn't go way out of the way just to come. It is nice that the water is natural but the surrounds of a private tub are a fence and that's it. The tub area was clean and there was shade provided. There was just one outdoor shower for washing up when we were there, which did the job but is pretty basic in amenities and far away from the private tubs. There is camping and casitas to rent here but we only came for the hour. As a suggestion you could pair the City of rocks state park with visiting here to make the journey more meaningful.Note: no non-service dogs allowed, even in private outdoor tubs

Outdoor pools in a mesquite Bosque- remote, quiet and unhurried. We rented the casita for the night; cozy. Water temp was just right for us (107 F). Our first visit. We'll be back.

One of my favorite, and near to Tucson, hot springs. About 4hrs away, not too far from small towns and small cities but far enough out that the sound of silence and nature is more prominent. They offer a few stay options. Bring your own tent and rent a campsite, bring your own traveling home and rent a spot, rent any of the cabins, enjoy a lovely yurt and/or the option for larger parties in a mobile home. There is a common shared space with a kitchen that has dish ware, cookware and cooking space. Even. Coffee maker and blender available. This same space has two bathrooms, a lounge with games and books and magazines, sitting areas and even some things for kids. This is also a common space for lost in found or 'pass it on' items (clothing, etc) The property is easy to navigate. More than enough hot pools varying in very hot to hot to cool. A few clothing optional areas too. Showers nearby as well as toilets. One can explore the labyrinth ip on the hill nearby, watch the sunrise, sunset or star gaze in the large chair on the same hill, take a hike around or discover the peacocks on property. (Do not pet, feed, or interfere- very calm creatures) Pets allowed, must be on a leash. Fun mini trip suggestion: not far is the city of rocks which is absolutely phenomenal and a must see in my opinion.

Faywood Hot Springs, a rustic natural geothermal resort in southwestern New Mexico, has many outdoor public and private soaking pools for those who wish to partake of its healthful and rejuvenating mineral water baths. There are separate clothing-required, clothing-optional, private and group pools. We stayed in the Dragon Fly cabin for 2 nights in December and rented private pools both nights for 2-3 hours. Not going to say it's a luxury resort but for the price and we loved it. The cabin was clean, a bit outdated but was just fine for us. There is a charcoal grill and picnic table outside of the cabin and not much close so bring what you think you will need.Definitely check out City of Rocks state park while you are in the area.

a week ago on GoogleI really hate doing this as Faywood WAS one of our favorite stop off points when traveling, however, their lack of response to solve a problem has been totally ignored. We stayed in an rv space with hookups for two nights. We, of course, left our sight in the same condition as when we arrived. After arriving back home we got a notice saying they charged our credit card for $100 to clean up a sewer spill. Absolutely not. Our sewer system is 100% up to code and absolutely nothing was spilled . I requested they send me a picture or some proof, which they did.( Wish I could post the pic here.) It showed some wet area with what looks like a small amount of deteriorated toilet paper. I responded back with "NoWay". It looks just like someone who was in one of their dry camp spots had used our empty space to empty their blueboy or equivalent without a proper hookup. My bank reversed the charges at my end and investigating. I wrote to Faywood again and requested they reimburse my bank due to false charges. I have given them adequate time to respond with absolutely no word back from them, nor have they corrected their fraudulent charge. Its not about the $100, its about principles and fraudulent charges to a credit card. P.S. I would not have gone to all this extra problems for $100.Beware!!

We booked an rv site over the phone the day of and were really excited to spend the night and use the hot springs. The person I spoke with said that the office closes at 8pm but gave me a gate code. I called around 7pm when I realized we were running a little late and wouldn't be there til about 830pm. I thought that I was just calling as a courtesy as we've been traveling and staying at rv sites for the past few weeks now and have had no issues showing up after hours. The person who initially took my reservation picked up and told me that we couldn't come in after 8pm because it would be too hard to find our site (even though when I spoke with him earlier he said it would be easy and that there would be plenty of space to pull in). So now we're half an hour outside of town and we have no place to stay tonight even though I made a reservation and gave my credit card information. Please make it clear to guests in the future that they can not show up after hours.

TLDR: Funky hotprings with essence-of-New-Mexico feel. Worth camping so you can stargaze while you soak, but campsites leave a lot to be desired. Bring your own drinking water, the water on-site is not potable (see photo). Recommend pairing with a visit to nearby City of Rocks, spending the night, and coming prepared. The good:Rustic, funky little spot with plenty of pools, especially if you stay here overnight, as some of the public pools are only available to overnight guests. Public pools are lovely, had a starlit soak before bed. The on-site camp store has pretty much everything you'd need, and the staff are helpful. The not-so-good: The place is small and packed with campsites, so that often you're camping in the middle of a thoroughfare with people walking past. Thankfully, the staff were able to switch me to one of the few secluded tent sites. Very dim lighting throughout, indoors and out, so bring a headlamp. The ugly:The place got slammed with multiple drinking water violations last year that have yet to be resolved (see photo). The most galling part, is the *only* notice of the violations was a faded sign on the clubhouse door, only accessible to overnight guests. They have not made this information available on their website or at all sources of drinking water. The notice says they anticipate the violations will be resolved by mid-December 2024 (it's nearly March), and that it's "not an emergency". Certainly, their response lacks urgency. The violations explained: 1. Cross connections present in system - this means there's connections between the drinking water system and the water system for the soaking pools, where water is not treated for drinking. So, drinking water can be contaminated by untreated water intended for the pools. Correcting this would be costly and time-consuming, but is also necessary. Most serious violation.2. Spring box is not secured from the elements or intrusion - this means the water source can be contaminated, either through natural or unnatural causes.3. Poor housekeeping at system (see items 1 and 2), which could lead to contamination.4. Using Bleach in lieu of chlorine. Less alarming, as Bleach is simply less concentrated chlorine. So long as they're adding enough and there's no contamination post treatment, should be fine for most folks. But, that would require a treatment plan (which they lack, see item 7) and the sources of contamination being corrected (items 1-3).5 and 7. Lack of documentation regarding operating procedures and inspections, which makes it hard to judge what is and isn't being done.6. Low pressure water system, which creates a further opportunity for contamination, as it allows for back-up to occur and water to cross over from the soaking pool system. Also means you can't really fill up your RV tank here, which you shouldn't be trying to do anyway, due to the various violationsItems 1, 2, 3 and 6 mean the water is non-potable and needs to be labelled as such at all spigots/faucets. Further, the attached notice should be posted where it is visible to all guests, not just overnight guests who use the clubhouse. They say you should do nothing. I say, you should still visit, but bring your own drinking water.

Loved it. This place really is an oasis. We camped in a spot close to the club house. Which is nice since the club house has nice restroom and tables and sink if you need to wash up. Showers are clean and spacious. The campsite was clean. We only used the clothing required and public pools no one was in them so we had it all to ourselves. Loved having a changing room right next to them. Only downside I would give is there wasn't much of a friendly welcome from reception. I had to ask a lot of questions to get information. The website was a little confusing on what was included and provided and what you have access too. But didn't take long to figure it out.

TERRIBLE GUEST SERVICES! Pools were great, a little dirty but the scenery was decent. On the other hand, management is less than accommodating and of no help at all!! Terribly rude as well. DO NOT EXPECT ANY FORM of great customer service in any way which so ever!! Not guest friendly whatsoever! We had a soak in the Blue Moon private pool and when it was time to leave we realized there was no door handle. We called the emergency phone number listed multiple times and no answer. We were stuck behind the gate with no door knob, and to top it off stuck in complete darkness. It was a rather terrible, little frightening experience to say the least. Not knowing what insects or creatures could bite us in the dark. After many attempts to were able to use our towel and a stick to get the lock button and cylinder open without a handle. The next morning we called to let them know what had happened and were told there was absolutely nothing to compensate for. I was not looking for a handout, but not even an apology was given for the trouble we went through that evening. Appalling customer service! Will not be going back and will not recommend Faywood to any others because of the terrible customer relations through management. Unfortunate, because Faywood is a nice, relaxing place. I cannot do business with anyone who does not care about the customers. No customers deserve this attitude and I personally cannot recommend this type of business to anyone else. Customers are the livelihood of thriving businesses.
