Working with Patrick Ortega from Exit Realty was a pleasure! He was extremely helpful in finding a house for us that met our needs. He was very responsive, knowledgeable and professional. We recommend Patrick to anyone looking to buy or sell a house!

I am disappointed with exit and my experience with my agent Josie James. If I was to buy a home again I would not use her. Or recommend exit realty to anyone. Please, read this and avoid this company and especially the real estate agent Josie James.

Exit Realty is centrally located in Las Cruces -- easy to find. They have two buildings next to each other and limited parking in two small lots, so some patience may be required in getting yourself to exactly the right location -- but once you do, all is worthwhile. We spent 1 1/2 days with Mark St. Paul of Exit Reality -- and his patience as we tried to get clear on what we might want to buy (get this) 14 months from now -- was amazing. I had some questions about getting a mortgage, so he introduced us to their mortgage guy (Victor) who also spent a huge chunk of time graciously answering my questions -- knowing all the while that (a) we weren't doing anything for a year and (b) odds are we would not be coming to them for financing. Despite what I think is a bit of an unfortunately company name, I am totally impressed with the services we have experienced so far with Exit Realty.

Irma Chavez-May, sold our home within 2 months of listing. We live out of the state and owned a rental property in Las Cruces NM, being vacated. In looking for a realtor we came across Irma with a very high amount of home sales and great reviews. Irma handled everything for us from recommending, to meeting contractors and getting the home in the best possible condition for a quick sale. We never set foot in NM! She is amazing and a very committed to her clients. She got our home sold! If you'd really like to sell and sell quickly, she's the one to call!

Poor response and follow up. Was working with the broker (David Roew) but after a few interactions with him I "Exit-ed" the scene b/c he was too heavy-handed and treats clients like he is a Mr know-it-all and they are ignorant. Most people want to see a lot of houses before they buy and most realtors know this and spend the time to get to know what their customer wants, not push a property on you too fast. Too many other realtors and companies out there to do business with.

Michael Carpenter of Exit Realty recently gave us the most thorough and most professional education about our new second home, Las Cruces. I have worked with dozens of realtors in my life, made friends with some, wondered how others made a living, but Michael just soars above them all. He is attentive to the client's interests and needs, he knows the local market, he has good relationships with builders--and can steer you where you need to be--and he knows the area inside out. We didn't buy on this trip because we want to make a larger investment than we originally planned, but as soon as we sell properties in Texas, we'll be back to find the perfect house with Michael. Do yourself a favor and contact him!

I do NOT recommend Monica Guzman. She's incompetent with her capability of selling a home. She also does not give accurate information and tried convincing me there's no hope in selling. Worst part is she STOLE important housing documents from me by refusing to return them, after I told her I'll explore other options. Just childish...I recommend Mesa Flats Realty as Joel Gilbert is much more optimistic and knows what he is doing.

Kristian Chervenock was the buyers' agent for a house we were selling. The bank was unbelievably slow at getting things done, especially ordering the appraisal on which the sale was dependent. Although this was not Mr. Chervenock's fault, his approach was ineffective and lazy. He used email instead of phonecalls to contact them. Everyone knows that many people simply ignore emails. So this was an ineffective as well as lazy method of trying to move things along. Then when the sale was almost done, we asked that the agents contact the propane company to arrange that we get reimbursed for unused propane. He had them "lock" the tank, which meant that propane was shut off to the house. He did not bother to ask (again laziness and incompetence) what "locking" the tank meant. This was in the middle of winter. Luckily we contacted the company and had the propane flow continue. The delays cost us, yet Mr. Chervenock seems happy to get his full commission. So find someone else.
