A truly disappointing experience. First of all, Nate (office manager) scheduled an initial meeting to make my mother's final arrangements with Denise - who was one hour late and never apologized. Denise is the perfect example of an employee who does not care. She has a terrible attitude for dealing with families experiencing loss. The true travesty is her inexperience coupled with disregard. She double-booked my mother's burial with another burial at the same time. We were then moved 30 minutes later. At the time of burial - parking was difficult due to the two burials happening closely. Francisco - our "director" or "counselor" didn't even show up to make sure things went smoothly at the burial. He was another example of disorganization with no sense of urgency and called me two days later stating, "I'm sorry I couldn't make it". Wow! Overall, the professionalism and attention to detail is terrible and when speaking with Nate and hearing the history of how Evergreen has changed owners over the course of time, also responds with "no worries", "no worries" to every statement which is not only inappropriate but unprofessional as well. I'm sorry I have loved ones resting in peace at Evergreen. The entire experience was terrible and lacks a robust, compassionate and well-run operation for families at the time of loss.

RUN! We paid for a service in full and keep receiving statements saying we owe $7,000(Past due). We have documentation but it seems their bookkeepers can't keep track. Thankfully we kept our documentation. I'd suggest going elsewhere.

This place is horrendous! I have three loved ones resting there, the grounds keeping is awful, they actually waste water feeding the weeds, I went looking for a loved ones grave marker it was three inches under weeds, dirt and trash couldn't even locate it, its all about money if you place something on a plot you already paid for they removed it without permission and want thousands of dollars to have put there! There people have no compassion and should be ashamed working here! Please find someplace else to rest your loved ones its bad enough dealing with the loss but to get treated bad after you've paid is inhumane.

Really bad service, they keep adding hidden fees, they originally stated that the contract that my grandma had originally purchased before hand is no longer the price that is required. They are also requesting exact cash amount, which are large amounts of over 1,000$ dollars. From experience when businesses as for cash amounts it is usually so that the business will not file for taxes. Very unhappy with the services and recommend you record everything when making payment arrangements.

Please do not waste your time with this funeral home. Recently used to bury my father. They made numerous mistakes such as wrong funeral cards, wrong flowers, errors with multimedia and nothing was done to accept accountability. As I brought these things to there attention they simply placed the blame on others and gave nothing but excuses. They do not keep there promises. Even after all was addressed and promises were made they did not follow through. It was bad enough having to deal with the passing of a loved one.... much less having to deal with the additional headaches brought on by there lack of care. Beautiful facilities, however not a pleasurable experience.

I wish I had read the reviews before I buried my mother at Evergreen East / Dignity Memorial. Everything went well - initial setup, service and burial until when it came to the marker. The marker was done incorrectly and when I called, the "counselor" argued with me and then refused to correct the mistake. Considering that the markup is huge compared to what you can buy off the internet, it would not have cost them to fix the mistake. Additionally, they lost out on a second sale because I had been seriously considering buying a preneed funeral for myself. Thank goodness I didn't. Now, anytime I visit my mother's grave I will be reminded of this terrible experience. Buyer beware.

Questionable accounting! I buried my father almost six months ago. I paid in full at the time of the burial. I have no balance with them. Now, I have received my second notice of payment from Evergreens' corporate office in Houston demanding that I pay in full. What did Evergreen do with the money I paid them? I have all my receipts and will now report them to state entities for fraud!

Very disappointed with this cemetery, when we bought our plots several years ago, the place was very nice and green and clean. The last 8 years, this cemetery has been neglected, obviously the don't clean up. I complained because they sole my dads and sisters' bronze vases that were very good quality, when I made them aware of it, the replaced them with cheap plastic vases. These vases came with the plagues that were purchased at a hefty price. I am seriously considering selling my plots that I purchased there because this place looks very sad. Evergreen more like Nevergreen.

I'd give 0 stars to this place if I could but you can't post so here it goes! Yesterday, on July 29, 2019, I attended a funeral of a dear friend at Evergreen Cemetery East. As I entered the cemetery, I immediately noticed that most of the ground's grass was yellow as if it was fall or winter. As I got towards the back of the cemetery, to my friends grave side, the grounds got even worse. I was now walking on dirt and small weeds. Evergreen, you should be ashamed of yourselves for the horrible condition that you have the grounds in. Given the fact that all of the deceased and/or their families that are buried there have paid thousands of dollars for that service, the least you could do is water the grounds and maintain them year round. My mother-in-law is buried at Restlawn Cemetery on Dyer Avenue in northeast El Paso. The grounds there are very green and well kept. Not too long ago I made a complaint to the office because a large area surrounding my mother-in-law's plot wasn't getting watered sufficiently and small weeds and dirt were starting to appear in a lot of the area. After some emails and discussions with their office personnel, maintenance fixed the sprinkler system in that area and the problem was resolved. That was just one small area I was complaining about. Unfortunately for Evergreen Cemetery it is the entire cemetery that looks horrible! I am in my 50s and have started planning for my burial. I can tell you this, after having been at Evergreen Cemetery East on Monday, they will NOT be on my list for consideration of burial sites for me and my wife. Once again, Evergreen East, you should be ashamed of yourselves and should be doing everything with all of the thousands of dollars you receive from all of the burials that occur there on a daily, weekly, yearly basis to maintain those grounds in tiptop shape. Horrible, just horrible! For anyone that doesn't believe these comments, just take a look at the many pictures that are posted by other individuals, not by me. Look at the grounds and all you see is nothing but dirt and weeds. This place only rivals Concordia Cemetery!
