Elephant Butte Lake State Park - Lion's Beach

Not super clean but adequate for swimming in summer months. You can rent boats year round for fishing and sight seeing. They have a mix of sandy and rocky beaches so during peak months you better get there early to snag a good spot to set up! The drive is only 90 minutes from El Paso making it the shortest distance to water! Overall enjoyable and we will be back every year without a doubt.

I really like this late you can come out here and do anything you want from scuba diving to fishing. Jet skiing water skiing you name it you can do it here

This place is top notch! The pool and jacuzzi area and everything was very clean and well kept. This is the place we'll stay every time we come to the butte!

Just made a quick stop on the way to Albuquerque and really enjoyed the vistas.

Come to the butte to fish, party and see what your truck can do. If you get stuck elephante butte 5tons will pull you out for gas money.

Stayed here while passing thru to Colorado would like to have spent more time here. Hope to come back to visit again.
