El Taco Estrella Cantina

If you haven't been to La Estrella meat market to get your marinated meat then you might not know that the same owners opened up a restaurant. Living on the far East you mightve passed by this little place. It's right next to the meatmarket II. I figured their tacos had to be good. To start, I had the prepared michelada (red beer) and this has been the best I've had in a while. I ordered the arrachera tacos (5 to an order). The come with 3 salsas, a red, green and chipotle a spicy one. The limes are big and juicy, hence why they got a pic of their own. Nothing worse than a dry little lime. I ordered the al pastor baked potato as a side. You can add whatever meat to the papa. It was cooked to perfection and a great compliment to my tacos. My dinner date ordered the carrillera (think Korean style cut ribs)tacos and they too were delicious. The only reason I docked a star is because the tortillas were just heated up, I would have preferred them passed over some grease before layering the meat over them. I will be a returning customer to try something new.

Food was delicious. I highly recommend the Discada tacos. They were very flavorful and perfectly made. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Great tacos, great guac, and great portions! Orders are prepared super quickly. Our only little complaint is the fact that take-out and dine-in fare is served in non-recyclable styrofoam with disposable everything.

If you are looking for truly authentic Mexican tacos, this is the place. Great tacos and cold beer, perfection!

The steak tacos are alright. Chicken was still pink, this food is very unseasoned and right when the waitress brought out our tortillas they were already cold and hard. The entire restaurant looks so cute and has so many cool decorations. I wish only this cute ambiance was paired with edible food. I plan to give this restaurant another try and taste different menu items and update my review, but after trying each of the tacos this is my experience.

The tacos were fire , the service was quick just wish they played music instead a game no one was watching but overall
