The pollo carbon from El Sinaloense is straight fire. This is the best chicken in town. You need to give them an hour to make it so plan accordingly but I guarantee it's worth the wait. I'll be getting my grilled chicken cravings satisfied at El Sinaloense for now on. On top of being delicious, a whole chicken with two sides is only $20. With today's restaurant prices, that is unbeatable.

El Sinaloense is a Mexican restaurant conveniently located across Apodaca Park. Super Burrito is super cheap. Taco plate is plain so customer can choose their preference through the condiment stand. Food is good and worth the longer wait considering how cheap it is.

I would give this establishment a a ZERO if able! I plan to contact the Heath department, after what we observed. We observed the cooks using the SAME spachella for different raw and cooked meats. Obvious cross contamination plus terrible service! We had waited at least 20 minutes and had time to watch the cooks cook for other patrons that came in and ordered after us. But, it was totally worth it to not get food poisoning and politely ask for our money back.... after letting them know they were not supposed to be cross contaminating with the same spachella. Cooks literally scrapped raw chicken and then started cooking carne asada and then passed a family a quesadilla they cooked using the same spachella. Please close this place down or eat at your own risk....

Never again. We tried El Sinaloense despite the poor reviews and I definitely regret it. Put in an order for pickup on Taco Tuesday and to my surprise when I got home less than a quarter of the food I had ordered was in the containers. When I went back for my money all they said was " tenga" (here or take it). Terrible customer service, as I said earlier I will never again go back.

I'd say the tacos (asada and al pastor are the ones we've tried so far) are really good. We really enjoy the salsa bar ( salsa de chile de árbol, salsa verde, red onions, onion with cilantro, cucumbers, limes and guacamole salsa) because it gives us the opportunity to create our own taco. The portions are more than enough considering I usually end up with extra meat, enough to make another taco. Overall, based on the taste of the food and friendliness of the staff this place is great if you're looking for good tacos and/or a quiet place to eat.

This restaurant advertises $1.00 taco Tuesday. The menu lists tacos de: tripas, buche, asada, birria, and chicken. I was very excited. However, they have no refrigeration on the salsa. I spoke to the manager about the fact that one of the salsas was bubbling. I came back two hours later and the same salsa, still bubbling had not been changed and still no ice on it. They also told me that they only have chicken tacos. Eat here at your own risk and if you are in the mood for being insulted.

OVERALL, NOT A PLACE I RECOMMENDFor the overall dining experience this place ranks FIFTY-SIX (56TH) on the 2018 Mr. Sensitive list of Mexican food restaurants around Las Cruces. This restaurant opened around November 2016 at the corner of Solano and Madrid. The menu features grilled chicken al carbon, chicken and al pastor burritos, tacos, and burgers. That's about it. If you like to have options you won't find many here. When I visited the ambiance was sort of basic hardwood type booths and tables. The ambiance is very casual. The customer base seems to be neighborhood Hispanics. It seems as if the staff speaks Spanish as a first language and some speak little English. From what I observed the people who run this place have little experience running a restaurant. There was a cart set up in the front with little bottles of hot sauce. After placing my order a young man brought out a basket of chips. I then went to the salsa station and scooped up some salsa, both red and green, into a little cup. I found it odd that there was no large spoon or ladle with the salsas so I had to make use of the little plastic cup to scoop out the salsas, getting salsa on my fingers in the process. WHO FORGETS TO DO THINGS LIKE FORGETTING TO LEAVE A LARGE SPOON OR LADLE WITH THE SALSAS? This joint is obviously run by people with little know how.Since there were no plastic knives I asked the young man working the front if he could provide me with one. He brought out a large steak knife that he found in the kitchen and he had just run water over it before delivering it to me. This was obviously one of the knives the cooks were using in the back. THAT'S THE WAY THEY ROLL IN THIS PLACE. I couldn't figure out what most customers do here. Do they all eat with their fingers? I guess so. The young man working the front was personable enough but don't expect any professionalism here. After about ten minutes the food was brought to my table. So how do I evaluate the food? The chips were pretty good, as was the red salsa. It had a nice heat level and decent flavor. I did not care much for the salsa verde. I had ordered the half-pollo plate and an al pastor burrito without beans. The al pastor burrito was packed with meat and quite flavorful. This was good al pastor. The chicken plate was accompanied by tortillas and a cup of charro beans. The beans had some cilantro and onion mixed in, and I must say, they were really good. The grilled chicken had a nice char and a most unique flavor....I believe it was the plentiful use of cumin that made it unusual. Some may like this flavor and some may not. I did. I thought the chicken was pretty good. But, I did not appreciate having to eat all the food with my fingers. When I finished eating and walked to the counter to pay the bill I was given no itemized statement. An elderly man who hardly spoke English just handed me a five dollar bill for the twenty I gave him. I had figured my total should have been around $14.00 with tax. So, I think I was casually overcharged. No explanation, no pleasantry. Just, here you are....a five spot. Not wanting to create a scene by questioning the charge, I just left. Needless to say I was not pleased with this. What to expect if you go: I kind of think maybe you shouldn't. Restaurant rating = TWO STARS......meaning poor for the overall experience. (The food however is better than two stars, but I just cannot deal with this place and will not return.)
