El Rincon De Cortez

This is the third time I've given it a chance for breakfast. We have been there before for some very good Huevos Rancheros, and anxious to have them again, but the past 3 times the cheese arrive has been curdled/scorched - inedible. The male waiter is friendly, the females are not. I tried it, but I don't think I'll be back .

Visiting my family for the holidays. It's been several years since my last visit here especially to El Rincon. After Covid it's hard to find a decent place these days. So it's nice to know some things never change, in this case that's a good thing! Walking in it was like the place was left the same as I'd remembered. It was like I entered an awesome time capsule for a moment.Of course being a creature of habit you know I had to get the same old same old haha. That being the Caldo de Rez n the Mexican Combination plate #1. The combination plate has 3 cheese enchiladas, 2 delicious savory tacos, and of course the rice and beans to seal the deal. Boy was I glad when I took the first few bites the food was just as I'd remembered. I felt nostalgic for a moment as I took every savory bite. Being from Albuquerque it's so hard to find a decent Mexican restaurant down there. I have to explain to my New Mexican friends there's a huge difference between "New Mexican" and border town "Mexican" food. That being said I don't get enough real Mexican food and it's a nice treat to enjoy when I get it. Thanks El Rincon for not letting the pandemic change the food taste! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in El Paso!

I come here often for lunch, always check the daily specials. You'll never leave hungry and the food is consistently delicious. Tried and recommend the Milanesa, flautas, tacos, gorditas & combo plates. Their salsa is one of my faves as well. The caldo will warm you up and is the best comfort food. The servers & staff are the most courteous and I've never had an issue with service here. The restaurant is clean and appealing.

I've been eating here since they opened. My team from work loves this place as well. I've always received great service and I can honestly say that it has been very rare the food was not hot and flavorful. It's my grandkid's favorite place for burgers and fries too. Prices are fair and the place is always clean. I'm a big fan of both their Caldo de Res and Pescado. Mexican plates, Gorditas , Milanesa are must tries. Enjoy!

Went for lunch the day it snowed. Was looking forward to the caldo, enchiladas, combo plate. For some reason the enchiladas tasted like wax, the tacos has a strange spice to them, and the calories lacked flavor. Hit n mess on this place.

I was on a quest for green chicken enchiladas and had passed this place before. I walked in sat down and was greeted with tostadas and salsa. The salsa was good but lacked something it didn't have a kick to it. My plate came out so quick it felt like they knew i was coming just for that. The plate was so hot the beans were still bubbling. Chicken was good and plenty the cheese was so good but again it lacked a kick. Will I go back? Probably not I like a bit more spice in my Mexican food. On to my next hunt for green chicken enchiladas.

I went through all the reviews and WOW! I mean the reviews are from years back and I'm guessing things have changed ever since because i have been there 3x in the last months and I've had nothing but good service and great food.

I've been coming here since I was a child and the food is very good & the customer service is stellar. Love the Tarahumara dish.

The service is always personal, quick & friendly. The food is always freshly prpaed & very tasty. Ambiance is quaint

Been coming here for years for the lunch specials with the caldito (soup) especially the gorditas. It turns out that the breakfast here is even better. Very delicious, flavor full and large portions . The service is great, very nice ladies always happy and helpful.
